Community Center [sunset, after the birthday party]

Rilla was probably a little stickier than the traditional bride normally was (she'd had cotton candy. And ice cream. And a couple of cookies. Look, Warren and Karla's party had good food), but she was sure she looked beauuuuuuuutiful in her wedding gown made of a bedsheet and her window curtain veil.

She had flowers that she'd taken from the ground (with most of the dirt taken off of them, even!) and had even found a very nice--if a little confused--man to perform the ceremony!

And after she was done gettin' married, she would be more than willing to share her wedding dress with anyone else who wanted to get married! Weddings for everyone!

Life was pretty easy when you're six.

There are plenty of flowers, pillow cases and bedsheets for everyone to play wedding! Some of them are even white!

"What am I sposed to do?" Will wondered. His little sister was still young enough that no one had introduced her to the idea of playing wedding, so he had no idea.

"Who are you getting married to?" Karla asked, coming over to say hello. And to adjust his doily. Rilla's placement was stupid.

Karla didn't need a pillowcase or a bedsheet. She had facepaint, henna, and her very own pretty flowers. That didn't stop her from coming behind the sheet into the super-exclusive dressing room, though. If Rilla could invite herself to her birthday party, Karla got to go into the dressing room.

Quinn was happy for Rilla. Really.

But there was no way Rilla was going to get married much before she did. Rilla was a baby. So she went up to where the wedding supplies were and claimed a veil and some flowers. She needed a groom, too, but she was almost certain Puck was around somewhere...

Noah had wandered in out of curiosity, but this looked like a girly thing.

That being said, Quinn had said that she wanted to play married, and he wasn't gonna let some other guy pick the girl he hated the least! He almost sorta liked Quinn!

"I'll marry you, Quinn!" he exclaimed when he heard that, because otherwise some other guy might marry her. Like Bruce or something.

Jack, frankly, had no idea how he'd gotten here, but the tiny little girl had been very persuasive.

You could say it was a sugar-fueled impulse, or something related to all the planning for their farm, but whatever the reason, Kennedy and Tara had come down to take part in the ceremonies.

"Okay," said Kennedy, who was all over caramel and bits of cotton candy, "I think he has to marry us now."

She looked like she'd kick him if he said no.

After bribing Jono with food to marry her, and then prepping by making Rilla cry, Karla was ready to get married. She adjusted her tiara so that it could show off her face-paint to her best advantage, and looked expectantly at the smelly male who seemed to be in charge.

"It's our turn!" she announced. "An' my birfday! You has to marry us now!"

Sundays tended to bore Jaina anyway, so it was a very good excuse to see what was going on with all the kids around. As it turned out, she stumbled across the cutest thing ever, as long as nothing was legally binding.

She'd just be over here, looking incredibly amused, and pondering taking video on her phone.

"I'll take one of those drinks!" Barney cried from where he was gnawing on a cookie in the crowd. "Make mine choco, though or there's no tip in it for you!" Was he a bad wedding guest? Perhaps, but it wasn't like he'd been invited in the first place.

Sookie, of course, had brought her camera, because this surely wasn't a moment that anyone would want to forget. She just sort of quietly hoped no one decided that she should be a flower girl or anything.

Dana had talked to Rilla yesterday. The Canadian girl was very picky but hey! Wedding!

She had flowers to throw when people walked down the aisle! 'Cause you had to celebrate! Also, a hat.

Much like the party earlier, Will wasn't entirely sure how he'd ended up here, just that he'd followed some of the other children and this was where they'd stopped. Still, whatever was going on, it did seem exciting!

Bruce had managed to avoid children all weekend so far. And yet he was there at the wedding. Don't ask how he managed that, but he supposed he had to support his friends taking such a step in their lives.

And while he wasn't the type to rub something like this in people's faces when they were back to normal, he figured that if he were prominently in the crowd, the memory of him being there would be enough.

While she might have been one to shy away from commitment later in life, four year-old Ramona loved playing wedding. So of course she was here, all but bouncing in her seat as she hummed the bridal march off-key.

Juliet loved weddings, even (perhaps especially) when they were very bad ideas. You could dress up, and usually they were pretty free with the champagne.

She didn't expect champagne at this one, but she was still wearing a nice dress and had pinned her hair up as she sat in the audience. She wasn't sure what a good gift was when the brides and grooms were children, but the gourmet chocolates she'd gotten in Baltimore seemed likely to work.

Rinoa was so delighted that she had found something so wonderful going on.

"A wedding!!!" she beamed, clapping her hands. "Oh! Oh! I wanna go next! I wanna go next!"

She did not have a groom or anything. That seemed like a detail.

Jono had had a long and semi-productive day at the library, making squinty-faces at big words that he didn't really know. And now... Now he was here, after making a pit-stop for his crown, because he'd kind of missed it!

... He still wasn't entirely sure how that had happened, but since there were lots of other little kids here, he supposed that it was probably meant to be. Maybe one of them would wrestle with him, or something.
