Streets of Fandom, Saturday Afternoon
This gloomy afternoon, Simon was out of his usual uniform of button-up shirt and dark jeans in favour of a black hoodie and tracksuit bottoms. It was the sensible thing to do when he was out running in the rain.
He hadn't been on the island for too long yet, but he was already getting to be fairly familiar with the streets. Running was getting to be routine, and it was good to be able to say he was doing it for class. No need to tell people he would've been doing it anyway, especially not with Nathan back on the island. He thought about the impossibility of that as he ran. He also thought of his friends back home, and things he didn't know how to do, and how long it'd be before he'd dare to take to the rooftops.
The rain made his hair stick to his forehead and his clothes cling to his body a bit, but he didn't mind. He kept running.
[ooc: Open post if you're a fool in the rain, too!]

Also, he was sort of taken, except it was complicated and a spoiler.

"I'm sorry," he said. "But I'm not the right Simon. I'm not the one who left you there."

Wasn't he supposed to be in England?

He was holding his ear as he looked over at Nathan, expression a mix of surprise and anger. "I didn't know it was going to happen! I only talked to you once, and then you'd already left!"

He didn't say the second, either.
What he actually said, after a breath, was, "Do you remember how you talked to me at the picnic? Was I supposed to tell you then?"

He shook his head, then rubbed the palm of his hand over his temple. His ear still hurt. "I'm not supposed to interfere with your timeline."

Be nice, Nathan.

Well, at least he said something.

"Why did you try and save me on that roof?" Nathan asked once he'd showered Simon with water like an immature brat.

Simon shook his head only because he wasn't the eyerolling type. "Because I changed my mind."

Simon looked quietly unimpressed. "You fell on a fence."

"I tried to save you so we could try and save them. She already had them."
