Caritas | Wednesday

Tino didn't faint when Nathan showed up today. Nathan was almost disappointed but he figured you couldn't pull the 'back from the dead' card that often and have it work. So, he just wandered in, gave Tino a few friendly thumps on the back and took up his position behind the counter.

He'd missed freeze booze in the time he was gone so he wasted absolutely no time in breaking into it and getting himself started on a nice, good bender. It'd been awhile since he'd had one of those too.

Being alive definitely was better than being dead.

"I'm not a teddy bear, you fucking leprechaun," she said, biting his neck lightly for that comment. "Even if I am nicer to you than I am to...most people."

Which was completely fucking true, and he better have appreciated that fact.

"It's affectionate," she assured him. "You're my favorite leprechaun. And certainly the tallest I've ever seen."

As she spoke, she slid an arm up around his shoulders, keeping things steady as she licked out over his neck and blew a soft breath across the damp skin.

"That's so much more cheesy," she murmured, twining her fingers in the hair at the nape of his neck. "I'm not a teddy bear. At least you're from Ireland. There's a leprechaun connection."

"Exactly what about me reminds you of bunnies?" she asked, biting him again just for that.

"If that's what you think of," she said, pressing a little closer to him, "then you definitely shouldn't be calling me that. Especially in front of other people."

And maybe she was thinking about that back room, but he'd put the idea there. Shh.

"Saying please and thank you won't cut it?" she asked, her other arm winding around his neck and her leg tightening at his waist. No other customers better fucking come in, or she was going to tell them to go away in no uncertain terms. Possibly not the best customer service.

"Then what would work?" she asked, leaning a little to press her lips along his jaw. "If not fucking manners."

"But I might do it," she pointed out, tangling her fingers in his curls because she could.

"I could reject you, still," she replied, even as she tugged a little on his hair and smiled a little.

"I could," she replied. "I could get you all worked up and excited about this back room of yours, and I could hop off this bar and leave. But even I'm not that cruel," she added, smiling as she leaned in to kiss him lightly.
