Turtle & Canary, Sunday

Dolf really hoped Shunsui wouldn't mind a large dog hanging around the store from now on. Okay, so he was slightly dubious as to whether Shunsui would even notice at all, let alone care, but-- big, drooling dog lying by the counter, occasionally twitching onto her back for no reason he could see.

Except that she kept sending him these looks like she expected something.

Dolf: not a dog person. Hence a little uncomfortable with the whole thing. But still determined to go around this job thing as well as he possibly could.

Today's Squishy flavors: Chocolate, Zebra, Red.

Occasionally, the other stockholders realised they still had this place sitting around, and they'd insist on meddling. Like today. Honestly, getting to argue a bit was probably a good way to get Mitchell distracted, and distraction was definitely something he needed.

On the other hand, there were principles to uphold.

"They have got to be joking," Mitchell said, standing outside staring up at the sign. "Do they really think this is going to be a box office draw? It's shit! It's absolute, pure, unapologetic shit!"

The lad with the ladder shrugged and squirreled along inside, leaving Mitchell to express his distaste alone.

Devil's Nest [Sunday evening]

Eric and Tiny were running the club tonight--Tiny from the bar and Eric from his usual location behind the velvet rope in the VIP section. By the front door was a discrete "Help Wanted" sign: Eric had a few shifts open now and hated doing actual menial-ish work.

The DJ was pumping out the 80s classics, which Eric was doing his best to ignore.

The Devil's Nest was open!

There would be, Jack had every reason to hope, no ponies in the bar this week.

There was, however, alcohol and lots of it. Jack spent the night testing cocktail recipes with ridiculous names. Mostly, he mixed them, took a sip, made a face, and tried the next one.

He convinced Tino to take a tray of the rejects up to the zombies. He suspected they got thirsty.
