Caritas - Saturday evening after 3MD [Open]

Once the dates were over, GOB made his way back toward the bar and started bossing Tino around, just like old times. "Okay, let's show everyone how a real pro tends bar. Tino! Get me another scotch!" Yep. A real pro made Tino do all the work. These were tricks you never forgot, even years after leaving the bar business.

[OOC: For your post-3MD conversations and/or hookups or whatever! Or for people who were just waiting until after the dates to get a damn beer!]

Howard had another scotch and hopefully far more ladies around than any time before.

He was okay with tonight. Even if he did 'date' three men.

There was a TV, so there was a Guy. Hopefully some of his dates who didn't wear wigs would be sticking around for him to chat up.

With his usual charm.

Natalie was surprisingly still here. It wasn't like she was in a rush to go anywhere else, even if the bar thing really wasn't her scene.

As evidenced by the fact she was also still just having a soda, thanks.

Jeremy liked the lounge, so he was there, sitting down by a table of his own and looking lazy while sipping his drink.

He thought the night had been pretty good for him, on the whole.

That had been a pretty fun little event, all things considered. She could have lived without the serenade at the end, but she couldn't really complain if that was the worst thing about the evening.

No one had ended up dead! After last weekend and her last assignment that was a definite step in the right direction!

By now, Kate was a few drinks down and in a rare sort of good mood, despite the number of undead in the room. It had been a long time (if ever) since she'd had an evening like that. Voron would be turning in his grave.

With nowhere pressing to be, she might as well relax a little.

Sam's dates hadn't gone that badly so he thought sticking around and ending the week with a drink and some ambiance wouldn't hurt. It'd been tough in places but he was trying to forget those.

"So, how were your dates?" Sam wondered, coming up to lean against the bar beside her because he'd seen her and if she was going to try and avoid him now, she'd have to walk away from him. "Incredibly exhilarating?"

Cindy was getting a little tired of wine and noticing Howard's drink, decided a scotch would be a nice change, too.

"Macallan, twelve year," she told Tino, before turning to give Howard a smile. "Saw your drink and couldn't resist."

But see, Natalie couldn't walk away because that would be obviously avoiding him, and she'd been working hard over the week to keep her avoidance concealed, even from herself!

So, she was trapped now.

Thanks, Sam.

"They were fine," she said, with patent mildness. "Nothing world-rockingly amazing, but no one I needed to throw my drink at, either."

"Afraid to socialize?" Cindy said, giving Guy a smile from the doorway. "I've noticed you seemed a bit shy and retiring, so I guess it makes sense."

"Then you have excellent taste," Howard replied. Ah, a woman who didn't seem likely to lecture him about his use of the word 'dames'.

"I've got this crippling fear of socializing," Guy confirmed, leaning back in his seat. "It's pathological."

Hanna had a decent time tonight, so she ordered a drink and stuck around for awhile afterward. Who knows. Maybe she'd meet more people, too.

Oh yes, he remembered that mildness even if he hadn't talked to her in nearly a week now. He was used to it, in fact. Before answering, he took a few sips of his own drink.

"You came in expecting extremes, didn't you?" Sam asked, glancing around the bar. "Why'd you sign up anyway? You don't seem like the speed dating type. Trying out new and amazing things this week?"

She'd lived through the forties, too. Besides, she could always kick his ass if he needed it. Or maybe just shoot him.

"When it comes to scotch?" Cindy said, offering her hand. "You're damn right I do. Cindy Perrault, teacher up at the school."

"If I'm intruding on your quiet time, I can always head back to the bar proper," she teased. "That's where the alcohol is, anyway. And I'd hate to make you cry, or something."

Annie was having kind of a great night. She hadn't expected that. So she thought she could stick around for a little while and see who else was around.

Of course, it was also beginning to sink in that she was in a bar, and she was seventeen, and no one seemed to care. She ordered a Shirley Temple.

"Nah, just not too eager to hang out with my students there." Caritas was just weird like that.

Howard took it, leaning forward to press a kiss to her knuckles. "Howard Stark, Stark Industries."
