Jonothon had managed to get his hands on coffee, this morning. Instant coffee, granted, that he'd thrown together while trying to juggle breakfast (cereal, quick and easy) and getting everything in order for ... whatever the hell these auditions were going to be like, considering the state of the weekend. He hadn't actually gotten around to getting any of it as far as his mouth, yet, but he suspected that he'd made the coffee strong enough to sit up and bark, and if that didn't floor him, it would probably be a good thing.

In the window of the Boards, he'd hung a sign:

FANDOM ISLAND WINTER SHOWCASE
Give the rest of the island a taste of your winter traditions from home!

And, hell, he'd even managed to get someone at Pizza Planet to answer the phone who was over the age of ten, so there was pizza set out on tables on one side of the lobby area. Tables which he'd laid tarp down under, because there was no way in hell he was going to clean those carpets already. The place had just finished renovations, after all.

[OCD is up! If you've got a small child for the day and you'd like to audition, anyone and everyone is welcome to, but please let us know in the OOC thread if you actually want a role or not!]

"She's nice. Jono has a cat and it slept on me last night, and it was purring a lot," Seifer said as he petted Angelo's head.

"I like cats," Rinoa decided. "Maybe I'll get a cat, to go with my dog. So Angelo doesn't get lonely."

Hopefully, whoever ran the pet shop didn't sell pets to crazy, impulsive weetiny kids. Because ... yeah.

Well, Seifer might take the cat after kid weekend, who knew.

"If she's got you, she's not lonely!"

"What about when I'm at school?" Rinoa asked. "Maybe I should ask my teachers if she can come to school with me. If she's good they have to let her, right?"

Yes. That was how this went.

Seifer shrugged, not really sure. "I guess. Matron teaches us, so she would let us bring a dog to lessons."

Oh, he's in for a shock at Garden.

"That means you need a dog!" Rinoa decided, clapping her hands excitedly. "We get you a dog and then your dog and Angelo can be friends. And then Angelo won't be lonely and you can have your very own dog!"

What could possibly go wrong???

Seifer made a face and shook his head. "No, Matron won't let us have a dog."

One dog with six kids? Not a good idea.

That was heartbreaking. Never mind that her father wouldn't have let her have a dog, either, and she had just gone out and gotten the thing her own damn self.

"What about a cat?" she asked. "You could hide it under your bed! Cats are little and they're almost as good as dogs."

That sounded like a good idea. "And a cat could get up high away from Zell and Selphie!"

Which was really important.

"You could name it something cute, like Boots or Mittens!" Rinoa announced.

... Yeah. That would happen.

Now Seifer was giving her the look, because really...

"No. His name will be awesome, like Sir Laguna."

"Okay!" Rinoa said. "Sir Laguna and Angelo can be bestest friends. Let's go get you a cat!!!"

This would in no way be a bad idea come Monday. At all.

Seifer looked around, but the adults were busy, and why not? "Okay."

This was going to be awesome on Monday.
