Caritas, Sunday Evening

Guy with an umlaut didn't actually work at a bar. He didn't work at all. Because, when you're on the Real World, all you do it sit around and drink. Or fight. Or hook up.

So, that was why he was at the bar tonight, partying.

Sure, it was just with Tino, but that would change as soon as they found young, attractive people to through at the cast.

Fresh from protesting his little heart out at the child exploitation fest, Zayne needed some celebratory drinks.

"Hey, Guy," Zayne said. "Do you know if they have any organic liquor here?"

Was there even such a thing as organic liquor?

"The only protest I'm holding right now is against not partying," Zayne said. "I got all my actual protesting done earlier."

"No, about the creepy exploitation of children in pageants. And catfights. It was a two-for-one day," Zayne said proudly.

"They demean women and hold back true equality," Zayne said. C'mon, that was obvious.

Having access to alcohol now of course meant that the producers needed to make it look like she was partying way too much so that people could Raise Concerns about her midseason that would totally go nowhere because it was an invented problem, but Jaina didn't know that yet. So she was at the bar, totally accidentally helping them get footage for that.

"I really like this place," Jaina decided perkily.

It was subtitled. As most bar conversations are, whether you can hear them over the music or not.

"You must get out to places like this all the time," she said. Since he was way older and experienced in the world but not like Sara and all.

"Well, sure, while I'm in the house," she said, picking up her drink and taking a sip, because you got used to that sort of thing happening here. "But what about afterwards?"

Obviously setting up her eventual move to LA after the show to become famous or something.

"But... I'd miss people."

And would probably end up calling her mom crying like she did this morning, which was going to be fun to explain tomorrow.

After meeting up earlier at the Perk and then an edited-out-for-television trip all the way next door, it was suddenly evening for our blind daters. Let's see if the good feelings from earlier keep up.

Bruce and Cassidy were already sitting at a table with drinks in front of them when the filming started.

"Have you ever been to a karaoke bar before?" Bruce asked.

Cassidy certainly looked as if she was still having a good time with Bruce.

She shook her head and smiled in response to his question. "No, I never have." She'd never been in a bar before. "I'm just having all kinds of new experiences today."

"I'll spare you the experience of getting up and singing this time," Bruce said. "Too many nerves, too much opportunity for things to go wrong."

That little pop-up was back again. 'Next time. Does that mean he's already planning a second date?'

Cassidy squeezed his hand. "My awkwardness and worry over being a klutz appreciates that. Is karaoke something you enjoy?"

"It's something I've done a few times," Bruce admitted. "I don't know that I enjoyed it, really, but it was an entertaining experience. Mostly for the people watching me make a fool of myself, I'm sure."

"So why do it more than once if it wasn't something you enjoyed?" It seemed like a valid question to her. "And I highly doubt that you made a fool of yourself. You don't seem to be the type."
