Announcer: Tonight on TLC's Faking It, can this lifelong undersea dweller--

Interrupting Squid: Bloop, bloopidy bloop...

Announcer: Sorry. Can this lifelong undersea, high school swimming pool and duck pond dweller convince an entire bar and dance club full of people that she's really a hot, leather-clad bartender with a great rack and the ability to suck out your soul through your [BLEEP]?

Squid, with a bottle of beer in one tentacle and a pint glass in another, while a third slithers around the tree-trunk sized arm of the man across the counter: Bloop bloopdy bloop bloop...

Subtitles: Hey, handsome. Rough day? Tell me all about it.

Tiny: ...

Announcer: ...So that's a no, then. CUT!

Squid: Bloop.

Subtitles: [Bleep.]

[Brought to you by me waking from my sleepcrash at 10:30, wracking my brain for two hours to think of anything Bo could do if it weren't already ridiculously late for posting, and coming up with... faaaaail.]

Today the Mythyard was a hive of activity, with various of the odd, and completely not booby-trapped, contraptions lining the walls moving in their odd and unfathomable ways. There were however no ominous sounding explosions, thanks to the cone of silence, they were merely ominous looking.

"Hello and welcome to Mythbusters: Fandom Edition," Oz addressed his audience. "On today's show we're going to try busting some of those myths unique to Fandom, starting with an old favourite involving decorating supplies and homoerotic behaviour, that glitter leads to boykissy."

He turned to his hapless minion assistant. "Care to explain the myth for those at home?"

Bruce had a Blind Date today. Like any reasonable blind date, it was to start at a local business where they could get food and then end in the evening with drinks, but the whole thing would only take 8 minutes due to the magic of television editing. And just like any such thing, it started with Bruce standing off to the side and speaking in generalities about himself and what he looked for in a woman to nobody in particular.

"I have a tendency to be a little flashy. Expensive meals, cars, gifts... pretty much anything that distracts from questions like, 'Where have you been the past few days?' or 'Why do you have a knife wound on your chest?'"

"I'm into girls who are really passionate about something. It doesn't really matter what, as long as it's not murder, haha. But no, really, no murderers. Redheads are nice, though."

"I'm not really good at long-term, steady relationships. It's complicated, but it starts with the death of my parents."

And with that, it was time to wait at a table for his date.

[OOC: For said date! But open for any other Perkish needs, of course.]

Life is a gamble, and we're all players.

Here, victory relies on a relationship forged over thousands of years: the ancient connection between man and horse.

This is the world... of thoroughbred horse racing.

(Blind Seer, for the record, was extremely confused by this whole thing, but had learned some time ago to just go with it. At least he wasn't a pony this time.)

[ooc: i've never even seen "Jockeys", I just googled horse-related reality shows and this was the first result. Soooo. Yeah.]

Jaye and the realtor had found a bench in the park to go over the paperwork and tell her what she'd decided.

Jaye had seen three houses now, and finally come to a decision. Would she choose the mansion with a lot of room... but possibly too much room? Or converted warehouse that's fully furnished, but might be too trendy? Or the simple house with the wannabe therapist in it?

"I mean, I like them," Jaye was saying. "The first house was great and beautiful. Obviously good for parties. But just walking through I felt like I was breathing in STD's. And the second one had way less STD's, but it just wasn't really my style. So I'm gonna go with..."

Dramatic pause.

"House number three. Assuming the unconscious guy has been cleared out."

Susan wasn't being affected by any of this, and even if there was something affecting the island as a whole, she thought you were all out of your minds. But as long as the worst thing happening was people making fools of themselves and no skeletal rats had popped up with any messages, she was going to do her best to ignore it until it passed.

Which would be easier to do if Tino hadn't been cleaning up in here when she'd first arrived, explaining that a squid had been in here last night.

Right then.

Pinkie stood on a roped off stretch of grass, facing the contestants. She was looking fierce today in a fabulous pair of sunglasses.

Runway day was when she really got to shine.

"Hello, designers!" she called. "Welcome to a Project Runway first, doing our runway outside in a park on Fandom Island!" Everybody clap. It was a Project Runway first, dammit! Those only happened a few times a season! "Let's meet our judges! Today we have Fashion Editor of Marie Claire magazine, Claudia Garcia," Claudia waved from her spot crammed onto a bench with her fellow judges, "award-winning designer Vincent Kors," Vincent smiled, offering a little "hi guys!" before the camera cut away, "and costar of the internet sensation iCarly, Samantha Puckett!"

"How many times do I gotta tell you? It's Sam."

"And of course, any other judges who want to show up at the last minute and crush your dreams of being fashion's next big designer! As you all know, in fashion one day you're in, and the next day, you're out."

"Didn't she already say that to them?" Vincent muttered to Claudia. Claudia shrugged.

"Stick with the snarky metaphors, honey," she advised him.

"So let's get started!" Pinkie crowed.

[ooc: for Project Runway designers, models, hosts, and judges, whomever they might decide to be!]

Guy with an umlaut didn't actually work at a bar. He didn't work at all. Because, when you're on the Real World, all you do it sit around and drink. Or fight. Or hook up.

So, that was why he was at the bar tonight, partying.

Sure, it was just with Tino, but that would change as soon as they found young, attractive people to through at the cast.

Isabel bravely hung up the phone after receiving the terrible news.

She wouldn't let this upset her.

She wouldn't let this upset her.

Sadly she wasn't that strong and instead burst into tears.

"My wedding is ruined!!!"

[For one specifically but open to anyone who wants to deal with Bridezilla.]
