"I'm really here just trying to figure myself out, you know?" said Jaina's voiceover, playing over the sound of some Daughtry song as she arrived at the house with her bags. "I want to meet new people and find out who I really am. And maybe get famous from it."

She reached the door, with her name plastered in front of her in Comic Sans, and when she opened it and called, "Hello?" and got no answers, she thought that meant she was the first to arrive. Which meant she got to be the first and gasp, "Oh my god!" at the once-abandoned warehouse that had been tricked out to be a cool, trendy house for cool, trendy young people. And this meant she was going to get the first pick of rooms!

This is the story of seven or however many strangers, picked to live in a house and have their lives taped. Find out what happens when people stop being polite and start getting real. The Real World: Fandom.

Unfortunately for bride-to-be Mary, her groom had been getting a little too cozy with one of her bridesmaids. So Mary was doing the only thing she could: calling a very confused Delinda in Las Vegas and threatening her with the harshest punishment available.

"Get your paws off Danny or else you're out of my wedding!"

Let's see if this poor, stressed-out bridezilla can find another bridesmaid before she walks down the aisle.

Phil Keoghan strode down the beach as the waves crashed magestically against the rocks behind him.

"Welcome to Fandom, Maryland," he said, "the fifth leg in a race around the world for $50,000. Our some number of teams are currently sleeping off their 37 hour flights from Windhoek, Namibia and are totally suffering from killer fatigue." He arched an eyebrow toward the non-existent cameras. "This............is the Amazing Race."

Today, Jonothon's setup at the Boards was a little different than usual. There was no Pearl Jam on the overhead speakers, though there was the usual amount of paperwork, just organized a little differently. After all, aside from a few notes that needed to be made by the judges, all that really needed to be filled out were the application forms for the would-be Idols.

Who, Jono Cowell suspected, were going to all be truly horrendous.

That said, he was sitting back with a vaguely bored expression on his face alongside the other judges, waiting for the first victims to step onto the stage so that they could get this 'making an idiot of themselves' thing over with already. If nobody left in tears today, then he really wasn't doing his job.

"Hello, designers!" Pinkie cried. She was wearing one of her very best outfits for this occasion -- it was terribly important that she look fabulous and fashionable -- and looked just pleased as punch to see all the designers gathered together for the challenge. "Welcome to Project Runway: Fandom! How does it feel to be here?"

She didn't pause for any actual responses. They'd just have to mutter the answers quietly to themselves. Pinkie didn't get a lot of airtime again until the judging, and she was going to milk this as much as she could.

"I hope you've had a chance to see some of the sights here in Fandom. They're going to be very important for today's challenge. We all know that the fashion district helps define the personality of a city. Today, you're going to help Fandom define its own!"

[ooc: for the Project Runway folks! I tried for a nice and central location.]

"Yes, this will do nicely, I think," Ronan Clinton said, looking around the store. "And the mirror! It's perfect. Just like ours."

A new sign was currently sitting outside Pixie Dust, instructing passersby that inside? They could learn:

What Not to Wear

It's also entirely possible that passersby will be accosted by the lovely and fashion-conscious hosts.

It was a tearful Elle who sat at a table, holding her toddler son in her lap.

"I just don't understand," she said to the cameras, looking dramatically pretty. "Why does he always have to be late? It's like he just doesn't care about us."

She bounced the baby on her lap. "But I care about you, little one. You know that, don't you? Yes, yes you do."

Cue: Kenzi grabbing a rickshaw. And pedaling it away, madly, down the streets of Fandom, as music plays.

From somewhere, a voice says:
"COPS is filmed on location as it happens. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law."
