Troy was... consternated. Consternated was totally a word, right? Regardless, he totally was, and visibly so: tense around the eyes, a little distracted, a lot flushed...

Someone was ready for this week to be over.

"Okay, everyone," he said, once they'd gathered. "So we finished with act one on Sunday. What we'd like to do today is check in with everyone, get a sense where your head is, see if you have any questions about what we've done so far. And if you want to work on any specific scenes, we can do that, too."

"Because a lot of you are liable to be headed off to warmer climes come the weekend," Jono added, spray bottle firmly held in one hand all over again, his heavy jacket buckled up over his face and a look in his eye that suggested that he was itching to punch something, "we won't be having rehearsals this coming Sunday or Thursday. We can do a quick run-through of act one today, and since you're getting so much time off, I expect you all to be off-book by the time we resume rehearsals again."

Yes, Jono wanted you to read on your break. Such a cruel man he was.

"If you're having difficulty with your music, let me know, and I'll beat some pitch and rhythm into you. Probably not literally."

"But only probably," Troy reiterated. "And we'll be doing some intense choreography work when you get back, too, so make sure you're rested up for that." He grinned at the cast, even if it was a little forced around the edges. "So, any questions, or shall we get started?"

"More pillows?" Kenzi asked, looking at the flat, and giving Rapunzel an amused look. "What do you think? Lacy gowns thrown over the chairs?"

"Hmm.... that could work!" Rapunzel agreed. She didn't really have a strong vision for this particular one, but Kenzi usually had a pretty good eye, so...

Yeah, Kenzi would make this into a bordello if she thought she could get away with it.

"So how's your week going?" she asked, carefully adding more fluffy bits onto one painted boa.

"Oh, not bad at all!" Rapunzel declared with a broad smile. "What about you? Have you done anything exciting?"

Toby!... no, damnit.

"Not as exciting as I'd like to do." Kenzi made a boom shakalaka noise, then groaned. "You're not feeling real-- frisky? Energized?"

"Um... I don't know. Maybe a bit?" But, let's be fair: this was Rapunzel. It'd be really hard to tell if she was just being her usual self, or if there was something special going on.

So not fair. Kenzi was all too aware of it. And how much she could and could not do about it. Bah!

"Yeeeah. There's a kind of Valentine's vibe still going on." She facepalmed, smearing blue paint on her face. "Really glad they're not practicing in costumes yet."

"A Valentine's vibe?" Rapunzel cocked her head with a curious frown.

And what did costumes have to do with that? Costumes were fun!

"You know. Kissy-face? Bow-chicka-bow-wow?" Kenzi twanged, looking over at Rapunzel.

"Bow-chicka-...?" Huh?

Kenzi stared at Rapunzel, then rubbed her face again. "Riiight. Isolated. Um. Romantic?" That sounded better than horny, right? "In a really physical way?"

Rapunzel shifted her position, pulling her legs up and propping her fists under her chin. She looked precisely like an attentive younger girl settling in for an important transfer of knowledge from an older, more experienced girl.

She didn't even have to say "Go on, I'm listening" since her expression did that for her.

Kenzi boggled, then said, "When you're feeling all happy, and attracted to someone, and want to kiss them and touch them and all?" Was any of this ringing a bell. She nodded toward the actors. "Or more like, um, showing off? ... and warm. And buzzed?"

"That sounds exciting!" Rapunzel declared.

Rapunzel had no idea. "Yeahh, it can be fun. Lots of smoochies with Toby this week... you don't feel like kissing people?"

"Like on TV?" Rapunzel had seen a lot of kissing on the TV!
