Caritas- Tuesday

Kitty hadn't had any kids show up this weekend, which was sort of a relief. She'd decided she would probably be horrified by who the dads would be if someone had come for her. She just knew she'd get co-parents who'd either make her cry later or who she'd never be able to look in the eye again should she run into them.

That didn't mean she was above pressing Tino for details on who he'd seen, though. And whether he'd had any show up. No, wait, that thought was horrifying, too.

Seifer didn't usually hit the bar, he preferred to drink alone in his room or the park.

Yes, he realized how that made him sound.

At the moment though, he sort of needed other people around. "Beer, imported, please."

"I love when people are that specific," she said gratefully, getting him one and setting it down in front of him. "Bad day or are you just feeling social?"

"Both. It's great to get a visit from someone who will never exist for you." Really, it was. Just wonderful.

He was going to get really drunk now.

"Kids?" she guessed, more sympathetic now. And then she thought to explain, "It's my first time seeing the aftermath of it."

"My first time experiencing it." He took a long drink and shrugged. "At least she's happy."

"Something strong," Cara said. She didn't usually care for how strong drink dulled your sense, but well sometimes that's what you needed. "I don't care what."

"Tequila it is," Kitty said, waiting for the potential 'anything but that' that tequila sometimes got as she poured a shot.

"Thanks." It probably helped that Cara didn't know what tequila was. She downed the shot, grimacing at the taste. "Another."

This was going to end well.

"That bad, huh?" she said, wincing a little as she refilled the glass.

Worse actually. Cara shrugged. "Bad enough."

"I think today's definitely the day for it," she said, just setting the bottle on the counter.

Cara took the bottle and refilled her glass. She didn't feel anywhere near numb enough yet. "I thought there'd be more people here."
