For some reason, Kitty was finding jelly beans everywhere today. She'd pull out a glass and find some at the bottom. She'd pick up a towel and some would fall out from the folds. Considering Easter was days ago, that didn't seem right.

Not that that stopped her from dropping a few same-colored jelly beans in a vodka bottle to see if jelly bean vodka was a thing. Look, you never knew, okay?

"You," Topher declared, settling onto a barstool.

Yes, hello, Topher.

"Me," she conceded. "Drink?"

"Nope," Topher declined. Politely, one might even say, except... nope.

"Game," he added.

This was turning into possibly the most riveting conversation ever!

Believe it or not, she was getting used to these!

"Yes. Thoughts?"

Now she was doing it on purpose.

So was he, so it was all well and good.

"Laser tag?" Topher suggested. Then a better thought occured to him and he snapped his fingers. "Paintball."

...Oooh.

"Paintball," she agreed. "Supplies?"

"Online," Topher said, shrugging. It shouldn't be too difficult. "Fliers?"

"On it." Any excuse for time on a computer. "When?"

"Couple weeks?" He did some math in his head to figure out what day the following Saturday would be, and declared, "Twenty-first."

"Works." It wasn't like she had this raring social life or anything. "Anything else?"

If they'd actually managed to cover all the big stuff talking like this, the whole world just needed to stop and bow down to them for a minute.
