"NO CAPES!" Edna Mode reiterated, shoving an extremely sulky Anakin Skywalker (and his new uniform) back into the hallway.

"But--"

"No butt, either, darling," Edna said, dusting her hands off, "which I imagine is why you tend to cover yours with that cape to begin with."

She cut off his squawk of protest with a wave. "Live in the now! And now is full of plaid and polyblend."

She turned to the next victim victim. "Next! Come now, don't keep everyone waiting!"

[OOC: Anakin modded with permission! Come on down and get fitted with your uniforms or have a "dress like a normal person for once" intervention for your townie! There'll be some SP in the afternoon but I promise to get to everyone!]

... Why had Warren woken up for this, again? He could still be in bed, blissfully ignorant of what his tomorrow was going to look like, but instead he had to listen to the radio broadcast and come here for... well...

"I'm all for living in the now, but unless you tell me I'm allowed to chop a couple of holes in the back of that uniform jacket, I'm reserving the right to not like it."

Edna peered at his back. "Oh, you have wings," she said with a shrug. "I can work with that!"

Cara did not want to be there. At all. She had a uniform. A uniform which had served generations upon generations of Mord'Sith just fine.

She was glaring at everyone and everything.

Edna's superpower was being immune to glares.

"Come now, darling," she said. "It won't be that bad."

Karla was not best pleased with this arrangement already, not because it affected her in anyway, but because of the implications it had for several of her friends: Jono, Elphaba, Warren, Lion-O, Rapunzel's hair...

That displeasure started getting a more selfish focus when she saw the uniforms they were expected to wear, too.

"I'll take the pants," she said flatly.

Edna walked with a business like gait to the racks of clothing she had, the shook her head. "We don't have any more pants in your size," she said. "Which is a good thing. Those pants are a crime against eyes."

"I have a fucking uniform," Electroclash groused when it was her turn. She was right, of course. She was in said uniform even now, one-sleeved mini dress and go-go boots and all.

And no cape, either. "I don't need another one."

Edna did a slow circle around her, examining the costume. "Good stitching, interesting arms--British design?"

There weren't that many people in the superhero costuming business, strangely enough.

Cassidy didn't like this whole uniforms arrangement or anything of that sort. She was trying to remain cheerful and optimistic.

That stopped the instant she saw the uniforms.

"Pants!" She squeaked. "Pants."

There was no way they were getting her to wear one of those -- is something that short even called clothing -- skirts.

After nearly two whole semesters without them, Lex was not particularly pleased with the idea of having to wear a uniform again. Especially not ones involving plaid.

He hoped wearing his one of his best suits would somehow convince them that he didn't really need a uniform after all.

Cindy gave the uniforms a moue of distaste. "I'll wear the outfit," she said, "but I'm not wearing those shoes."

"I can't wear a uniform," Anna informed Edna. "I have to wear this dress." She added hastily, "I have religious reasons."

Would it have helped her case if she'd remembered to wear shoes today?

Tyrion, fully annoyed by the entire ordeal and the final he'd need to junk, was prepared to be as much of an upper-class twit as he could manage at the tailor; perhaps a few japes about the height-enhancing nature of vertical stripes, or a barb about what a pity it was the rack was an impractical option.

Wheh he saw Edna, however, it seemed a bit less funny.

So.

"Don't start from boy's clothing," he warned as he posed before her. "It binds in the chest and is too long in the legs, as you may know."

His teeth were gritted, but his tone was ... reasonably polite.

Edna nodded. "I'm familiar," she said, reaching for several coats before selecting one that looked correct. "Try this one one please."

Surreal just stared in horror at the sea of plaid. "Hellfire, Mother Night, and Darkness be merciful. WHAT is that called, and why hasn't it been burned?"

But she probably did need a Plan for her hair. So she was in line, trying not to look incredibly awkward or worried.

Edna tapped her finger against her lips. "The hair--is it sentient or just very long?"

"What are the odds of me having slacks, or making the skirt longer?" Ghanima asked briskly. "Or at least getting a decent hat to go with it?"

"I can make the skirt a bit longer," Edna said. She tilted her head to look more carefully at Ghanima's eyes. "Do contacts cover the blue?"
