The Streets Near The Warehouse District | Tuesday Evening

Okay. So.

Getting shot at was, as any sane person would fairly assume, really, really horrible. And having to limp your way to hiding right after being shot? Even more horrible. Seriously.

So now Alec had no bow, there was an arrow stuck in his shoulder that he knew better than to yank out but he really really really wanted out of there, and he had quite a bit of ground to cover, in the dark, before he could get to the warehouse where he'd stashed his stuff -- and most importantly, his stele, which was the thing that could actually heal his bloody mess of a shoulder.

That would be a lot easier to do if he wasn't stopping every so often to lean on a wall, shut his eyes, and pep-talk himself in suspiciously melodic murmurs.

By the Angel. Really? Now?

Wonderful.

[[open! 'specially for resistance folks who might wanna help him out, 'cause, you know. bleeding and all. FB-resistance-only, please!]]

Most of her powers Sia didn't use much, since Umbridge had at least one person on her side who could tell when she used some of them. She did tend to search for people nearby in the Force, though, which was why she was headed towards Alec.

And once she saw the arrow, she said, "Let me guess who you ran into."

Was it just a particularly violent day here?

"You must be new," she said, trying to get a better look at the wound. "You learn who to avoid. Did the arrow go straight through?"

"A little," she said. "I need to do something that's probably going to hurt a bit, all right?"

She wasn't going to pull it out, but walking around with an arrow sticking out of him was going to do more harm than good.

Trying to be as gentle as possible, she fisted the end of the arrow sticking out and used her other hand to break off the excess. Which probably moved the arrow around a bit in his shoulder, but at least he didn't have a whole arrow sticking out anymore.

"Marasiah," she said, discarding the rest of the arrow- a stick now, basically- behind something just in case anyone tried following him. "Where are you headed?"

"Of course, you've been doing so well on your own," she said dryly. "I can make sure you get there."

And if the guy did come back for him, Sia could manage that without a problem.

"I like to err on the side of caution," she said, always glad for the danger sense that she couldn't turn off. "He got your weapon?"

[identity profile] sia-later.livejournal.com 2012-07-25 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
"Probably smart," she said. From a certain point of view. She personally wouldn't be so willing to give up her weapon, but it did allow him to get away. "I don't suppose you have a spare somewhere?"

"I'm covered," Sia assured him. "I just wanted to make sure you were too."

She was very careful not to let her actual story get out, or Umbridge's people would probably watch her a lot closer. A Force user who was distantly related to Anakin Skywalker and had just come from a resistance back home? Yeah.

"Not much of a story. I'm just a girl who though she was going to a normal school and might get to do so if Umbridge would just go away," she replied evenly.

"You know once we're safely inside I'll be asking for any details if you have them," Sia said. Not out here, of course.

[identity profile] sia-later.livejournal.com 2012-07-25 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
"Yes, but details get around somehow, and that's usually from person to person," she explained. "I take it to mean you haven't heard anything new."

[identity profile] sia-later.livejournal.com 2012-07-25 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
"Start talking to people," she advised. "Be careful about it, but you're safer with like-minded people at your back."

[identity profile] sia-later.livejournal.com 2012-07-25 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
"That's why you have to be careful about it," Sia said, keeping her voice down as well. "No one's going to succeed on their own, but as a group, with people sharing expertise and information, we stand a much better chance."

"It shouldn't be different. The loyalists are friends to none of us, not really. We inherit nothing we don't already have," Sia insisted. "At any rate, we're stronger together than any of us are apart. Just think about it."
