Kitty was filling in for Jake today, which she didn't mind, being the start of a new semester and all. It meant she could do things like put up signs.

After spending the day in his listening to news podcasts and researching the island, Magneto had come to the following conclusion: he needed a drink.

And of course it would be Kitty tending bar tonight.

"Ms. Pryde," he said as he took a seat at the bar. "You're looking much more corporeal than the last time I saw you. Which makes me believe you are not the same Kitty Pryde that I currently know."

Yes! For once she wasn't surprised!

"I guess I don't have to ask when you're from then," Kitty replied. Because the thought that she might go through that again would be a little tough to deal with. "Uh, hey. Can I get you something?"

"Wine," Magneto said with a sigh. "A good deal of wine."

With that kind of request, she got a bottle and a glass and set it in front of him. Probably easier that way.

"That kind of week already?"

"I have spent the last several hours researching this island," Magneto declared as he poured himself a large glass of wine. "Only to determine that there is little here that makes any kind of sense. Though, I'm sure you have already learned that."

"Uh huh. Probably over a hundred dimensions and realities represented on one island where occasionally there are creepy sentient dolls or people turn into animals and no one even blinks after a while," she said. "Welcome to the madhouse."

Magneto let out a small grunt of disdain. "Indeed," he said right before taking a long sip from his class. "And if you don't mind, what exactly are you doing here?"

"Bartending," she shrugged.

No, she hadn't become less of a pain in the ass.

No. No she hadn't. Then again this was the type of response he expected.

"Seems a bit of a change of pace," Magneto noted as finished his glass and poured himself another. "Is this a new and unique way to preserve Xavier's dream?"

Oh. Was that a touch of sarcasm? Yes. Just a little bit.

"I wanted to go to college, Kitty said, because that was true. It just wasn't all the truth. "There's nothing wrong with a little normalcy."

Savannah was in an okay mood as she took a seat at the bar and smiled at Kitty.

I almost forgot to put this up, oops.

I hope this is ok so late? If not, I can bring Savannah in the next time Kitty is working?

I'll actually be posting her tonight for her regular shift, if that's cool. :)
