Caritas- Tuesday

Kitty had never worked on an election night before, but she figured it'd either be dead tonight, or super busy because, well, alcohol. So she put CNN on the TV in the back room (their reporting sucked now but the graphics were nifty) and put up a special.

And even if no one showed, the little elephants and donkeys getting zapped out of the bar whenever they started fighting would at least be entertaining.

Clint hadn't, you know, been hiding since the weekend. He'd just had a lot of things to do at the house. Like cleaning, and figuring out what the hell he was going to put in his next sitrep. As the evening rolled around though, he figured a trip to Caritas would be a good idea.

At least he'd been the right age this weekend?

When he got to the bar, he looked at the sign and smirked. "Damn, I almost forgot that was today. What if I sent in an absentee ballot a while ago?"

"I think you'd still deserve a free drink for being able to almost forget," Kitty told him with a smile. "Because that's impressive."

Clint shrugged as he took a seat. "I don't watch much television, and all the news channels are stupid in their own way. And it doesn't take much to figure out who you're going to vote for these days." Really, if he could do it, anyone could. "Plus, things were a little busy this weekend."

That was a pretty smooth segue, in his mind.

"But it was from a stranger. I can see how that'd be terrifying," Clint said with a solemn nod.

Clint made an annoyed face at that comment. "I suppose it could have been worse. Apparently Guy thought he was a hooker." And that was what he got for being the evil ginger twin.

Having been enough times at the other bar to feel more or less familiar with it -they gave drinks, you paid and drank...easy right?- Alice had decided she wouldn't be missing anything by visiting this one.

The oddly colored resized animals being zapped out as she entered Caritas had passed from an interesting curiosity to a boring spectacle by then.

And she was going to order, sure, once she stopped staring at the sign.

"Hey," Kitty greeted her with a smile. "How can I help you?"

"A beer would be nice," answered Alice as she finally managed to stop looking at the sign.

"How bad it is?" The thumb pointing at it though...

"How bad is what?" she asked, getting the beer and setting it in front of her.

"Elections." She thanked her with a silent nod as she took a sip. "Can't really change so much between worlds."

Kitty shrugged. "It's not so bad. This one got a little... negative, but they'll give us the results and we'll live with it for another four years. Could be worse," she said. "Not from here?"

That's basically how elections worked in Alice's head.

Alice took a longer drink this time before answering. "Not from here. Similar...but it got worse."

It was a bit of a mouthful for a greeting, but Priestly wasn't known for being quiet.

"No, but we do get rid of political ads anyway," Kitty bright sided.

"For awhile at least." Priestly shrugged. "I voted absentee in California, do I still get a free drink?"
