Kitty was blissfully unaware that anything weird was going on yet, primarily due to being the same age she always was. Being a teenager for about another month had probably saved her on this one. Tino hadn't even shown up, either, so she couldn't even go off that.

If and when people did show up, though, she'd probably be even more glad she wore a tank top with an actual back to it this week. (Which okay, the shirt still showed some midriff. Look, you couldn't have everything.)

Welcome, teenagers discovering that they don't card here!

Drinking definitely wasn't Clint's thing, nor was being around drunk people in general, but the intoxicated tended to have a looser hold on their wallets, so this was where Clint had ended up. The sight of a pretty bartender definitely cheered him up, and he tried to look smooth as he sat down. "Hey there. How's your night going?" he asked as he planted himself on a stool.

Don't mind Kitty doing a bit of a double take there, because it wasn't every day a teenager with your boyfriend's face walked in.

"Good," she said, trying not to look too amused. "You new here?"

"I'm giving off that vibe, huh?" Clint said, laughing softly. It was true, and there didn't seem to be a good reason to deny it. "Could I just get a soda? I'm trying to start easy these days." Yeah, that totally made him sound experienced.

Totally experienced, really!

"I know most of the people around here," Kitty explained, getting his soda ready, "and I kind of think I would have heard about you before."

"I don't know if you'd have heard of me. I'm nobody special," Clint said genuinely, shrugging. "You, on the other hand, are a different story."

Hey, there was technically less of an age difference now, so maybe that'd make things less weird.

Kitty set his drink down in front of him, studying him a little more. It really was the self-deprecation coupled with the flirting that did it. "Oh my god, you're totally Clint, aren't you."

Clint tried not to look surprised, but he couldn't really manage it. "I guess you do know most everyone around here, huh? I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing."

"It's definitely good," Kitty said, trying not to look too obvious in checking him out, even though she couldn't not. "Oh, I'm Kitty, by the way."

Most girls probably didn't have to introduce themselves to the guy they were dating as often as she did.

Hey, Clint didn't mind a cute girl checking him out, so Kitty could look all she wanted as he relaxed on the bar stool. "It's nice to meet you." That seemed like the right thing to say. "I guess you meet a lot of people working here?"

"It's more or less how I know everyone." You had no idea how much she wanted to play with his hair. It was just so floppy! "Gives me a chance to get to know people, find out how they're doing... So how are you doing?"

"Doing okay, I guess," Clint said noncommittally. The caring bartender thing was kind of nice, but Clint didn't think she actually cared how he was doing. "Still trying to figure out how I got here, but apparently that's a thing that happens sometimes? Not that that's cool or anything, but at least I'm not alone."

"It does. You get used to it," she shrugged. "And until you do, you probably get to deal with a bunch of people talking like they know you and making your day really confusing."

"Yeah, that's been a little confusing," Clint admitted. "But everyone's been nice so far, so I guess I've been making an okay impression."

"You could say that," Kitty smiled. "So what brings you in here?" Since she couldn't say it was to see her or anything.

Clint shrugged again, to buy himself some time to figure out how to put things into words. "You can tell a lot about a place by the type of bars it has and the type of people who come into them," he said. "It's a good way of getting the lay of the land, I guess."

"You know that's just going to make me ask about this one, right?" she checked. Also wow, how old was he that he could say that?

"Uh, I have to admit, I've never been in a place that had a band quite like yours," Clint said, eying the zombies. "So I'm still trying to figure that part out. But you're a little younger than most bartenders I've met - um, no offense, I haven't met a ton or anything - so I'm figuring this place isn't exactly jumping with retirees."

Well, that and the fact that he'd only run into other teenagers so far on his trips around the island.

"No offense taken," she said, because she was so used to being told how young she looked by now. "I think the oldest person I've ever seen in here is maybe forty. Plus we don't card. So good call there."

"Huh, so that's why I didn't get carded when I came in. I mean, not that I need it because I can totally be in here." Did that sound believable? He might have gotten defensive a little too fast.

"You don't have to be 21 to get into most places, just to drink, and you ordered a soda," Kitty pointed out. "How old are you, anyway?"

Call her curious.

Or go sit yourselves in front of the TV.
