Caritas, Thursday evening

Kenzi was happy to be back, and herself, and most importantly? Done with classes for the semester!

For some strange reason Kitty felt like she should come in tonight.

Kenzi couldn't help the snicker, but she started putting ice into a glass for Kitty before she said, "And I'm not a strung-out communist, either. Although you were a reaaaally amusing idiot, so there's that?"

"Just a Coke. And arrests while you're black and white and not yourself don't count," she decided. "...As long as you promise not to bring pot into the bar whenever you can help it, because I don't know the rules on that in this town." One bar carded, the other didn't. It confused things.

Plus there was the whole international interdimensional thing to confuse stuff. Kenzi wondered if there was a Canada where it was totally legal now. Not just sorta legal.

"Promise, cross my heart, no problemo. Not usually my poison of choice." Kenzi handed over the Coke and grinned. "Vodka in my blood and all. Sorry if Other Me freaked out Housewife You too much."

Kenzi snorted. "Offered weed to a cop. Well, Tony Stark. Who I guess was a cop last Thursday. And then started talking in Russian, so he decided to arrest me as a Commie. I was not the keenest bad example out there. Then there was leaving jail without bail, so..."

"The part where I hung out on the wrong side of the tracks with Surreal and Sparkle was fun." Kenzi grinned and poured herself a Diet Coke, sticking a curly straw in it. "Very beat poetry. The rest of it, meh. Sleeping under park benches blows... did you like, have a husband somewhere? Or kids?"

"Housewifey! Ow ow ow.." Grabbing a napkin, she asked, "Do we even know if there was something, like, setting that off? Or has the island just made people stupid and from the last century off and on?"

Kitty was going to be nice and try not to laugh at Diet Coke up the nose, but only because there tended to be ow involved there.

"I'm not entirely sure, because I was stupid at the time?" Kitty said. "I know I lost my IQ when I picked up that ball thing and started carrying it around, so I'm going to assume that's what was doing it. If it's not, I'm going to blame it anyway."

"The blue things!" Kenzi remembered those on Kitty and come to think of it, Bo, who'd been extra-domestic and a little scary last week. "Right, the only thing with color, of course they're evil. I mean, I could blame all the pot I was smoking. But shiny blue jewelry works too."
