"Stop looking at me like that."

Tino kept glaring at Mike. It was definitely worse than usual. And maybe he had a reason. Well, more of one than usual, even if Mike didn't really think so.

"Hey, it's partly your fault I had to take my shirt off, okay?" he said, shrugging his shoulders. His bare shoulders, it should be added. Bare like his chest and his back, yes. There were some flecks of glitter sticking to his skin. "Come on, there was no fucking way I could've known that drawer was like booby-trapped with glitter! And it was you who screamed like a girl and threw a pitcher of water at me. Which, I might add, did nothing to get the glitter off my shirt so thanks for nothing, man."

Tino glared some more, then grumbled something about getting a mop clean up the rest of the water and glitter off the floor behind the bar, before turning to go do exactly that.

"Yeah, you should just be glad I didn't take my pants off too."

Tino's response was not one fit for polite society.

"Had an accident," Mike replied, like that explained anything. "Did you know we had a drawer just waiting to spray glitter all over the poor sap who happened to open it?"

It was probably a gremlin thing, actually.

Also did not explain his shirtlessness.

Heavy sigh. "Well, that was Tino. He freaked the fuck out over the glitter and threw water at me. My shirt's drying out in the back. Covered in glitter."

Honestly, April was here because she thought it was Saturday, and when she saw Mike at the bar, she still wasn't convinced that it wasn't, but she was content to let him be wrong and bartend unnecessarily

"I like your shirt," she commented as she claimed a seat at the bar.

Because between Mike and Kitty, there was a definite 'non-clothes-wearing bartenders of Caritas' contingent.
