The Beach, Wednesday - late evening

It was nearly a week later and Allie still had a puppy following her about. She'd briefly debated turning it in to whoever might be responsible for these things, but a fluffy head resting on her knee and big puppy eyes had her putting it off for another few days.

"I suppose I'm going to have to come up with a name for you at some point if you're going to stick around," Allie said to the puppy as they walked along the edge of the water. "Unless you like me calling you dog?"
