The Park, Saturday night after sunset
Waking up deaf had been unsettling, but since it was something that didn't normally happen to vampires, Allie was going to bet it was something island related.
She'd been crossing the park on her way to check in with people when the first creature attacked with a lucky strike from the rear.
Vampire speed and a very sharp sword made sure that was the only time it got lucky.
Realizing that something was invading, Allie found a clear spot and waited with her sword drawn. Apparently it was a good night for a hunt.

Batman tied up the dazed wakwak and nodded in Allie's direction.

"Good habit to have," Batman said enunciating clearly since she seemed to have a little trouble the first time. "Good luck."
And then he looked for something to shoot his grapple into like he'd been doing all day. Unfortunately, they were standing in a clear spot, so he couldn't even make a good dramatic exit into a tree. Alas.
He could probably continue having a silent conversation?

Hopefully Batman picked up on Allie's shift into a defensive stance if he didn't understand her warning of "Incoming."

Batman started running to engage as soon as the explosion happened, trusting that Allie would be able to handle the other one.

And he didn't have super-speed.

And then there'd been the one winged thingie that had tried to sneak up on her while she was phased and ended up with its head phased into the ground when Kitty realized this was really something she did not have to feel bad about killing. (Okay, she still felt kind of bad about it.)
So that'd be her waving to Allie when she spotted her.

Someone was entirely too gleeful about the carnage of the evening.

So Allie was getting a thumbs up, because oh god why couldn't they hear yet so she could talk.

Like the one currently swooping in towards her and kitty.

Frustration had Allie's fangs peeking out as she growled to herself.
She'd been keeping an eye on Kitty throughout out the fight and had a sudden thought. "Want to be bait?" she asked, emphasizing the words as she spoke.

Huh, suddenly a round of charades was on the agenda for the evening.
Allie pointed at Kitty and then waved her arms around before pointing at the circling wakwak. She followed that up pointing at herself and slashing down with her sword.

But she nodded, and headed further out to do some jumping around and arm-waving until she got the wakwak's attention and it started heading for her.

Allie kept herself perfectly still as the wakwak dove towards Kitty. It was only at the last possible second, with the creature's attention focused in front of it, that she darted forward and stabbed at it's back.

Time for another round of charades. Allie tapped her chest and then mimed taking a drink from a bottle. Healing the various injuries the wakwaks had managed to inflict over the course of the evening had her feeling a little hungry and while a certain dark part of her brain was happy to point out that lunch was standing right there, Allie was going to ignore it and hope Kitty had plenty of True Blood on hand at the bar.

Dangling from a grappling line tangled around a wakwak's ankle and flailing as she tried to either climb the line or tug the thing down to the ground. It could have been either.
This particular Robin still had some wrinkles in her technique to iron out, and she had never gotten along that well with gravity. She was also -- despite the fact that it really ruined the quipping part of her style -- grateful for the deafness so no one had to hear her slightly panicked squawking noises.

Just don't mind how she and the wakwak crash-landed.

Another person in costume. It was enough to have Allie raising an eyebrow in amusement.

She popped back up to her feet, dusted herself off, and flashed Allie a thumbs-up.

Robin shrugged sheepishly, like 'what are you gonna do?' She wasn't categorically opposed to killing something that tried to kill you, but the boss was and since he supplied the gear and the training . . .

To get his mind off of it, he'd decided to take a stroll through the park.

Unfortunately being temporarily (hopefully) deaf meant that Allie couldn't listen for a heartbeat, so she didn't know if this guy was an actual vampire or just some sort of hardcore fan.

It struggled and appeared to make some sort of complaint as the purple mist encircled it and dragged the monster over to him. "What are you doing? You're setting monster-kind back centuries!"
The monster didn't respond kindly, dragging her talons across his face.
Drac took the blow, his face healing even as he turned his head back to glare hard at the creature. His magic tightened and Drac's own claws extended, but he restrained himself. "Madam. That was unnecessary. If you can't be civil..."
His eyes glowed red. "You will go home and sleep." The eyes of the other creature also glowed red, and she nodded. Apparently not everyone was deaf.
He released the creature and she flew up and silently away. Drac watched her leave. "What is going on here?"
no subject
Allie was doing some rapid healing of her own as she faced him, her fangs still apparent. She shrugged at his question, because explaining random Fandom events required a better give and take then charades. "They started it."
no subject
Drac's face softened at the sight of the fangs. "Ah! You must be Nikolai's friend! He spoke so fondly of you the other day." Drac didn't know if she was deaf or not, but his own fangy smile and slight bow would hopefully imply friendliness, if she was.
He gave a quick frowny glance at her sword, though. "Are those really necessary?"
no subject
On the other hand, Allie was good at interpreting frowny glances. She turned her back displaying her ripped, bloody shirt. The wounds had healed, but that was where the first wakwak had gotten her. From behind. As far as Allie was concerned that made him fair game.

Hopefully Drac's lip reading skills were better then Allie's.
