The song Roland was singing just now was rather a bit slower than he'd usually go for without a specific request -- in general, busking did better with something up-tempo that better matched the motion of the crowd going by. Not that Fandom typically had many actual crowds going by. Actually, the song worked pretty well for the current lack-of-crowd.

Also, Lou Reed. Like Roland wasn't going to be playing his stuff after reading the news from the weekend.

Cecil had to stop and listen; despite appearances, he was old enough to remember Lou Reed. Foucault wasn't, though, and he should get a chance to hear.

Roland offered the kid a smile and a nod, impressed that he seemed to recognize it. Maybe the song had been in a recent movie soundtrack.

"Hello, again," Cecil offered when the song was over. "I guess Velvet Underground is a bit much to try with one person acoustic, huh?"

"Little tougher to stay true to the sound," Roland said. "And honestly, I kind of liked sticking to Lou's solo work, today." He shrugged. "You got a request, I can make something work, though."

Cecil thought about it for a moment. "How about 'Andy's Chest'? It sort of reminds me of home."
