Rehearsal: Jekyll & Hyde, The Boards, Sunday Evening

If Drac was a wee bit cranky today, it was quite possibly the noise that was leaking through the walls and interfering with his attempts to get the NPC chorus and music to properly sync up today. Everyone seemed to be gabbing on about money lying about, and since the noise from outside had gotten steadier over the day, the sounds inside the Boards had increased in volume as well to compensate. And it was not the pleasant noise of a rehearsal.

"I thought theaters were meant to be sound efficient," he mumbled as he rubbed his forehead, another headache starting already. Well, at least the sets were ready and in position? And the costumes had arrived back from the cleaners?

Yes! The show must go on! And so, Drac was puttering about and trying to get things done as the players came in.

When enough of them assembled, "Greetings everyone!"

"My apologies for both the noise and for missing last weeks rehearsal. Let's do our best today. You are all doing very well and the show next week will certainly reflect that. I cannot wait for your friends and family to see how far you've all come. Now, lets get to work."

"Last week you worked on blocking. I hope you remember your movements, because today you are doing them in costume." He waved at racks of dry cleaning bags, each tagged with a character name. Of course, Drac's lack of actual Theatre experience meant he hadn't known to check the costumes that came back from the laundry... so, enjoy what you find in those bags, peoples.

"Let's see. Do we have the players for act one...?"

Minako was totally playing with the small sugar puffballs. And setting up a slide made out of a ruler for them to play on, and platforms from her notebooks. "Here! You can play here and watch, but don't get up on stage! Someone might step on you!"

Pinkie was more than willing to entertain the little sugar puffballs. She wasn't even bothered by getting sugar all over her hooves. She snergled one especially cute little thing with her nose.

"You're so sweet!" she cheered, then burst into giggles.

Puns were the best.

Hannibal frowned at the outfit with his name on it. It was, at least, fairly dignified. "This doesn't appear to be the right time period," he couldn't help but notice, though.

"Thank you, my dear Doctor, for putting that so gently." Drac was not going to break at this mix up. Nope. Not gonna happen. "I believe there has been a mistake at the dry cleaners; my trust that others are competent was apparently misplaced."

Cecil put on his outfit, then eyed it. "Is my character Russian? Do I need to try an accent?" He wasn't sure he was very good at accents.

Drac facepalmed. "No. The costumes appear to have been mixed up with some other production." At least he hoped that was what happened.

There was so much scowling. And glowering. And just general bad attitude just wafting off of Jackson.

He wasn't going to ask what the hell the costume was that he'd just pulled out of the bag, but... Yeah, every bit of him wordlessly asking anyway, while simultaneously making it clear that he also hated it.

Drac was so with him on this one. He stepped up and took a long loooong look at the costume assigned to the boy, then reached out a hand to pat him on the shoulder in mute sympathy.

"Mr Hale." Drac was confused but resigned to this fiasco and glided over. "What's a dance belt?"

"A white nightgown? And tights? Seriously?" Mercy just stared at the costume for a moment. "Um... wouldn't this be kind of equivalent to her running around in her underwear?"

Someone had gotten a Clara outfit.

And Drac is, of course, here. Not that he's staying still for long, because now that he's seen the costumes, he's going to be checking ALL THE THINGS!

But if you catch him... yeah, he's at least wishing for something more adult than tea.

Drac was trying not to fret. How long did one have to be a resident before the island could be blamed for things?

"I neglected to actually check the items returned from the laundry. Since we are the only theatre on the island, I assumed..." Drac's shoulders straightened and he scowled.
