Honestly, up until he'd arrived at work, Jake's day had been going exceedingly well. In retrospect, he should have seen this coming.
Oh, not the delivery itself. That was normal enough.
But the fact that amongst the crates of beer, rum, and other assorted liquors, there was one that had clearly not been intended for Caritas, seeing as it was full of craft supplies.
Including a large tub of glitter that had broken open during shipping, meaning that when Jake opened the crate to unpack what he thought was a case of flavoured vodkas, he instead got a rather thorough glitterbombing.
So, yes, Caritas was open, and the bar was manned by someone leaving glitter-vapour trails everywhere he walked.
