"Thanks..." Third comment this week about that; yep, she was maybe the one who didn't belong here. "Okay, so, looking for glowing Jell-O shots on my phone here... and hunh." She blinked. "Make 'em with tonic water and they glow under black lights (http://momadvice.com/post/how-to-make-glow-in-the-dark-jell-o), what do you know?"

"Did you ever get to talk to Jono?" Cecil asked while she worked on them. "I thought I'd see him in class on Friday, but he just sent me a note to teach it instead."

"I did, Thursday." Kenzi rubbed her head, wincing at the sudden headache. "He was-- pretty messed up. One minute he remember what happened Sunday, the next he didn't."

"Do you remember my hair being blonde?" Kenzi asked, suspicious, but already reaching for glowing neon-green vodka tonic shot.

"It's been like that for so long," James offered. "I can't even remember it being a different color!"

Whether he was exaggerating or serious was up to debate. Mostly because he was lying, but he wasn't going to admit to that.

Kenzi rolled her eyes, and handed over the livid green shot. "Riiight. You're still the same, glad to see that."

"You can't change a classic," James said, raising the shot in a toast and then downing it. "Well, you can, but it'll suck if you do. So you're one of those people with stuff nobody remembers?"

Okay, Sparks wasn't huge on drinking, but someone had promised virgin Jell-O shots for a particular little girl, and it wasn't like he was going to turn those down. Especially not after all the eating out of the school cafeteria they'd done. So, Sparks was here with Amelia in tow, still fairly early in the evening, since there was a bedtime they weren't going to miss and he wanted to get her back to the dorms before it got too dark out there.

Because monsters? Little kids, right?

"So, what kind of Jell-O are we going for tonight?"

"I don't know," Amelia said, sticking close to Sparks and glancing around the bar curiously. Which, well... she came to a stop.

"Are those people dead?"

"Sorta?" Kenzi said from behind the bar. "But they're harmless. They just play music. And smell funny." And eat monkey-brains, and oh, this kid was so cute! "Hey, Sparks. Is this your friend you were telling me about?"

"The very same," Sparks replied, smiling as he put himself between Amelia and the zombies. "Kenzi, this is Amelia. Amelia, Kenzi. She's the one that's getting the nice people at Luke's to give us breaks on food for a while."

She ducked her head a little, before offering Kenzi a bit of a smile.

"Hi," she said, just a little shyly. "Thank you for helping, Sparks and I."

And if she was hiding just a smidgen behind Sparkle's legs, well, that was because of the zombies. Honest.

Amelia meant the glowing Jell-O, but to her it was mako and terrible for you.

"She's talking about the Jell-O," Sparks explained, taking a moment to take in all of the... Cecil... that was sitting before him.

Oh god. Now one of his school friends was an older man. He was going to just kind of not swoon, because honestly. Honestly.

"It looks like something toxic back where she's from, so she doesn't trust it any."
