Caritas- Tuesday

Kitty was a little late to work, thanks to the fact that her dad had called right before she was supposed to leave, and she hadn't wanted to just push him off the phone right away. She didn't hear from him enough as it was.

Aaaand then she walked into the bar and found Tino wearing a cowboy hat. She was going to have to try and figure out how to ask if he was someone else today, or if this was just a thing he was doing today.

If Kitty looked surprised, it was due to the fact that she was surprised, and also because she'd thought she wouldn't see him till she finally got tired of giving him space and sought him out. "Hey."

Who knew, maybe Caritas' water was worth a non-drinker coming in for!

Kitty got the water, placed it in front of him, and said, "I didn't expect to see you here."

Derek's eyebrows went up as though to say 'oh really?'. Because they were expressive like that.

"So what's up?" she asked, only just starting to think he might not have come here to yell at her some more.

"My therapist was a woman and now I think he's a mobster." Last he heard on radio.

On the plus side, that was probably more information than he'd offered this whole year so far. But it did leave her even more confused.

Clint slid onto a stool and grinned at Kitty. "Hey there pretty lady, can you get a handsome guy a beer?"

"Okay," she said, getting his beer and setting it down in front of him. "My dad made me late for work and apparently Derek doesn't hate me. Also, I'm considering stealing Tino's hat."

Clint would have encouraged the cowboy hat, and it was nice that Derek wasn't still pissed at her, but there was a much more important part of that statement. "Your dad?"

"Yeah, he actually called me back for once. He's got bad timing, but what can you do," she shrugged. "He says hi, by the way."

He hadn't, but Kitty thought she'd throw that in.
