Caritas: Sunday Evening

After filming a presentation to be sent to the School Board to warn them of the future, Jamie seriously needed a stiff drink.

Only to find that Caritas wasn't open. Jamie wasn't having any of that...

So he opened Caritas and started to do his best liquor juggling routine a-la Tom Cruise to entertain the customers.

Tino who just happened to be doing inventory that night was not amused. And was also writing a note to Kitty on why he was not cleaning that mess up.

Jamie had his hair slicked back and was casually tossing a bottle of rum around.

For the squirrels. They deserved it.

Kitty had just come in to get something she'd forgotten in her office, and-

"...Um, you're behind the bar."

Yes she was afraid.

"Hey!" Jamie said happily pointing two index fingers at Kitty in mid-toss of a bottle of rum. "You're a Kitty!"

And then realized he tossed a bottle of rum in the air and quickly caught it before it dropped on the ground.

"What can I get you to drink? Bacon Martini? Yogurito? Or the latest Chinese cocktail Mao Tai?"

And yes. Scarily those are all real drinks."

Oh, there was so much wincing at the bottle tossing. "Anything glass is only meant to be treated kindly," she told him. "And all of those drinks are terrifying."

"Really? Treat the glass kindly?"

Jamie shrugged and picked up a beer mug and held it in his arms like a baby. He began to rock it back and forth like a child as well.

"Like this?"

"If that prevents you from dropping it, yes," she nodded. "Why are you behind the bar again?"

"Because the world needs booze," Jamie said in mock seriousness. "And in a world that is wacky... it needs a Caritas."

"Vodka tonic, make it fast," Jessica demanded. She was in a cheerful mood as always.

"Okay," Jamie said starting to make the drink as quickly as possible. "Now do you want grape, whipped cream, tangerine, blueberry, sorbet, pineapple coconut, passionfruit, raspberry-pomegranate, cinna-sugar. frosted cake, citrus or espresso?"

Note: He was putting gin now into the vodka tonic. Bad start Jamie.

"Sure," Jamie said adding some grenadine. "Just plain old vodka. No flavor. Just plain make your face wrinkle at the taste of vodka."

Now he's reaching for the tequila.

"Do you have any idea what you're doing back there?" Jessica asked. Her tone suggested gave what she thought the answer was.

"Of course! I'm a professional!" Jamie said just right before shooting seltzer water in his face. And then into the glass.

And an umbrella.

"There you go!"

Pam was in town to get drunk. And hopefully laid. And maybe to find a dealer, because she was running low on just about everything.

"Hey," she said, leering at the bartender, who she didn't realize was underage and all that. "Nice moves, hot stuff."

Subtlety was for other people. Like, sane ones.

"Thank you gorgeous," Jamie said trying to look suave and smooth as he almost dropped another bottle of rum. "What can I do for you?"

"I wanna get hammered," she announced. "D'you know how to make Green Russians? That weird guy that doesn't talk always screws 'em up."

Not knowing Pam's particular way of making them was not really the same as screwing them up.

"And, uh ... you holding?"

"You better believe I'm holding!" Jamie said gleefully starting on his version of a Green Russian. "I've got a bottle in each hand!"

Jamie is seriously clueless.

If it contained enough alcohol, Pam would probably go with it. So long as it had the absinthe. Absinthe was essential. Otherwise, you didn't hallucinate enough.

"I mean, you got anything ... a little stronger?" she asked. "A little fun."

Do not worry if this is too vague, Jamie. See above in re: Pam and subtlety.

"Oh, I'm told I'm strong and a lot of fun," Jamie said with a flirtatious wink.

Unfortunately Jamie could be very obtuse. And Jamie had no subtlety as well.

However Absinthe was definitely in the drink. As well as grenadine, Midori, Creme de Menthe and Green chartreuse.

And plain vodka. Because Jessica Drew was getting none of that.

And a green umbrella.
