Kitty was around, mostly working on paperwork stuff at one end of the bar if you needed to talk to her, but Tino was definitely behind the bar to serve drinks and take your money.

The zombies of course were there, and exclusively playing songs off their new album.

It's a mod Tino night, but if you need to talk to Kitty for some reason no one's gonna hate on you.

Jessica made her way down to the bar, ready to celebrate her being technically back on the job. She was going to celebrate in moderation, though. Nothing too crazy. No shots.

Dear god no shots.

She ended up ordering something pink but not girly. No, seriously, those were the words she said to Tino to see what he could come up with. He succeeded.

"I didn't expect you to be leaving already," Sia greeted her. You were supposed to stay forever, Jessica, duh.

"Well, in theory it could have happened any time Director Chang finally let go of the stick she had someplace uncomfortable," Jessica said. "And now that she has, you know, it's time to get to work."

"Well, as soon as Portalocity allows."

"I'm glad things have worked out for you," Sia said, honestly. "Sorry to see you go. You're here till Sunday then?"

"Yeah, apparently there's some interference with Portalocity, shock of shocks," Jessica said with a mild eye roll. "But I'm not going to complain too much. I get to do one last radio and hang out with you for a little bit longer."

"And hanging out will definitely happen," Sia promised. "When did you find out about this?"

"About two minutes before I sent the text," Jessica said. "The only thing that delayed me telling you was checking Portalocity to find out when I'd actually be leaving."

"Understandable," Sia nodded. "What do you do now? Do you stay there, do you have to find your own place? I'm not sure how this works."

"I've got a loft at the Triskelion, SHIELD HQ," Jessica said. "Although now that I'm a legal adult, they'll probably take rent out of my pay. Nothing's perfect, after all. It's a pretty decent apartment, though, so I'm definitely not complaining."

"That's good. One less thing to worry about before you get there," Sia said. "Is there anything you actually need to do aside from pack?"

"Tattoos, strip club, steal something from the zoo, you know, the usual," Jessica said. "Honestly, I barely even need to pack. I've been ready for this since summer started, so I've kept myself ready in case of emergency."

"Now, when you say tattoos, do you mean more tattoos? Or is what you already have sufficient to cross it off your list?" Sia asked.

"I think I need at least five more," Jessica said. "At least two have to be mistakes in other languages."

"You'd probably have to go to Cade for that. I'm sure he'd know the right place," Sia mused.

"I think I'd want someplace cleaner than the places he goes. I don't know why, I just assume his tattoo guy is horrifying," Jessica mused.

"I assumed he chose whichever place was closest to him at the time," Sia shrugged.

"That makes sense," Jessica said. "So that's the tattoos. Still need the strip club and zoo theft."

"...Cade could also probably help you with both of those. I suppose I could assist with the hangover," Sia said.

"Hangovers are out of the question, so I won't be getting drunk," Jessica declared. "We may be at a bar, but I know a little thing called 'moderation' now."

"If you commit zoo theft sober, I will have no choice but to question your life choices more than I would if you could blame alcohol," Sia warned.

"Hey, it's not my fault penguins were pretty much made to be stolen from zooes," Jessica pointed out.

"Were they?" Sia asked doubtfully. "Were they really?"

"You're leaving? Minako, don't look so pitiful. "But who's going to captain the cheer squad?!?"

Priorities.

"Well, that was going to be someone besides me anyway since I graduated," Jessica said.

"No faaaaaaair," she complained, sulking. "I graduate next year, but the whole time I've been here? Has been one summer at home. I'll have to do school all over again."

"... That's cruel and bizarre," Jessica said. "You can't just show off your diploma or the fact that you're clearly a couple years older and get on with college or whatever?"

"The diploma which says I took an entire semester of nothing but gym classes?" Minako asked ruefully. "...yeah, not gonna fly. Mama is just going to assume I finally hit my growth spurt, and ignore any evidence to the contrary. Like, I'm pretty sure most of Tokyo doesn't believe in demons or evil circuses or time-travel."

"Tough luck. I come from a world where all of that stuff is documented," Jessica said. "Except maybe the circuses. But I bet I could find that without looking too hard."

"Oh, we've got some of the stuff? I mean, I've seen the yoma and run the other way really really fast," Minako said, waving her arms wildly. She did! She ran really, really fast, so that she could go hide behind a box and transform! "But, like, it gets blamed on gas leaks or roaming bands of juvenile delinquents in the news."

"So, I get to do my last year of junior high, and then high school, again. Maybe I can sleep through English class and just focus on varsity sports!" Dream on, Minako.

"I'd normally be more offended as a nerd, but if you're going through high school once already, I guess I can't even argue with that plan," Jessica considered.

"Yeah, but you're, like, one of the awesome nerds, and you're totally going to get into any college you want, if you want to go," Minako replied cheerfully. "Is that the right way to say it in English? I mean, you're super-smart, and you like doing the smart academic stuff!"

"Are you going to go to college?" Minako got stars in her eyes and propped her chin on her hands. "College boys are so cute. I know mama wants me to go, but it's so super-competitive and I'd rather be a professional sports player, or be an idol."

"An idol?" Jessica asked. "And I'm skipping college for now. I have a job lined up already, so I can work toward some degrees in my free time."
