The Perk, Saturday Morning
Natalie's plans with her parents visiting Brazil had gotten delayed, so last night she'd taken advantage of a portal deal back to fandom, in the hopes of meeting some friends and maybe flagging Jim down for a visit too.
So of course this morning she'd woken up with no recollection of that. Or anything else, beyond what she'd actually been able to see around her, which had been a hotel room and a bag with far too few personal belongings. The things in the wallet offered some insight, but all of it was baffling, and distressingly unfamiliar.
She'd obviously needed to clear her head, so she'd headed out. And once she'd bought coffee at this place called 'the Perkolator', she took a seat at table by the window and began to go through the contents of the wallet – her wallet? – in earnest.
It was very confusing and she didn't like it one bit.
[ooc: Open for Nat-bothering as well as for any other Perk needs you might have!]

The tattoos were a little weird to discover but not indicative of a car accident.
"Wouldn't someone else know me and be looking out for me if I was in an accident?"

Maybe that was a little mean. But it was also a possibility! Seriously, they were two amnesiacs and that was distressing.

"It's not like we can know that, either way."

"Did you forget I'm in the exact same situation?"
So maybe she didn't have any friends either.

Sorry if there was anxiety wafting off of her. It was kind of hard to contain.

"Don't be so anxious," he said, shaking his head. "There's an explanation. There always is."
Right?

She thought she'd been pretty good about hiding her anxiety! But she'd only taken eyes into account. And not anyone reading her feelings.

Maybe that answered the question of whether everyone could.
"You can feel what I'm feeling?"

But she also couldn't see any colours, so she wasn't hugely surprised.

Because she didn't need to read his feelings to know he had to be more freaked out than she was, in certain respects.

Even if it meant some things escaping her.

"I don't know what any of this stuff is."
