Eric had chased Tiny into the bar tonight--the bar which, inexplicably, was also covered in a fine glitter dusting.

So Eric went with it: Goldschlager was on special and Tiny was on dusting detail.

The Devil's Nest was open. Come drink with the legally allowed crowd.

Okay, so by the time evening came around, Atton couldn't come up with anything else left to do on the Hawk. He'd figured most of the alumni had cleared off and, well, most people weren't going to show up to the Devil's Nest because they were teenagers.

So this was safe.

He ordered a whiskey and sat down at the bar.

Mrgh.

Warren couldn't help but grin faintly as he took a seat at the bar and looked to see what was on special tonight. It was certainly fitting for the weekend, yes, but more than that, it had always been his go-to, just-for-the-hell-of-it drink when he was out drinking with the guys back in their high school days.

And, since he was here (actually with Karla's blessing, no less) to meet up with Ben in particular, well, of course he had ordered one for himself, mostly so that he could chuckle to himself over the flakes of gold in his glass while he waited.

What? Millionaires had simple pleasures. Like actually drinking tiny flakes of gold leaf, apparently.

Ben laughed when he saw what Warren had ordered. "Pretty sure the guy who owns the place will kill me if I try to play Angry Birds with you in here," he said as he sat down.

"And Karla would probably kill me if I came back to her tonight even half that drunk," Warren laughed, raising his glass to Ben in greeting. "She made me promise to bring her back a present tonight. I threatened to pick up some manner of livestock from a petting zoo in Baltimore."

Because after picking up a goat and a turkey and a tiny dinosaur, it was really practically tradition, at this point.

Ben laughed even harder. "Ender took my phone. It's like they know us."

"I bought a spare," Warren shared, chuckling. "Just in case Karla decided to take mine. Though, in retrospect, drunk texting her right now would probably also get me killed."

Plenty of ways to die for a guy with a healing factor, really.

"Let's not actively antagonize the pregnant lady," Ben agreed, asking Tiny for a beer. "She feeling okay?"

"Better today than she has been, I think," Warren replied with a shrug of his shoulders. "This past week or so, she's been pretty miserable. Nauseous, and she's had heartburn. So, nothing serious. Just... pregnancy things, I think. Raven's been keeping a close eye on her."

Hovering whenever she got the opportunity, practically.

"Bet Karla loves the hovering," Ben said a little wryly, sipping from his glass.

"Karla only likes hovering when she's the one who gets to do it and hitting is involved," Warren quipped, shaking his head and having a drink from his own glass. "And that's without hormones in the mix."

"Any time you need to clear out and visit Ender and me, just say the word," Ben offered, smiling. "We currently have nothing going on."
