The streets of Fandom, Saturday afternoon
After a brief panic attack over just what would happen when the guards discovered her off campus, Piper headed out into town to just enjoy the freedom to walk anywhere she wanted to. For as long as she wanted to.
There were so many stores. Like, she remembered that there were this many stores out in the world, of course, it wasn't like she had amnesia or anything but there were so many. Selling all sorts of things.
. . . If only she had any money.
[ooc: and Roland Chapman is now Piper Chapman. Open, sure!]

You would be wrong.
Piper eyed the guy up in return when she noticed him staring. He looked homeless. She used to be able to handle homeless people, but that was before she'd had to think too hard about why they might be homeless.
"I don't have any money."

scrubbed in Hannibal's sinkclean!Oh, well. It was a good try, but modern English was a few thousand years after Tristan's time, anyway. He nodded at her. It would be nice to have a bit of information, but he didn't expect she spoke Scythian. He'd picked up a bit of Latin, though, even if Arthur said his accent was horrid.
"Salve. Ubi sumus?"
Everyone knew a bit of Latin, right?

"Um, I'm sorry," she said, her voice automatically getting louder and slower, as though this would make her more understandable. "I don't speak Italian!"

Tristan shrugged. So, he'd have to look somewhere else for an explanation.
In the meantime, he wasn't exactly Bors or Lancelot, but she was a pretty girl, so he pulled an apple from his bag, cut off a slice, and offered it to her.

This didn't stop her from taking it. Look, there wasn't exactly a whole lot of fresh fruit in prison, okay?
"I don't have anything to give you in return."

He grinned back and cut a piece for himself. There had been a lot of them in the building he'd awoken in; he wasn't in any danger of going hungry. There had been some others, too, but he hadn't known what they were, oranges and kiwis not being a thing in ancient Britain. Though if she liked the apple...
He pulled out a banana. He'd only ever had one as a treat shared between eight of them once, and there had been an entire bunch here!
Was he impressing you yet, Piper?
no subject
You'd think that she'd've learned how to at least steal things by now, but no. Not Piper.
no subject
Did you want to come home with him and see his fruit, Piper?

You're on the internet!

Because no way Dr. Lector would be seen with that hair.

He frowned at her huge smile at little suspiciously, but she seemed truly friendly, if a little odd, and he relaxed again. His own smile was only visible if you looked really carefully past the beard and didn't blink, but it was there.
Under the tattoos, which Hannibal didn't have, either. Clearly one of them was lacking in fashion sense and tribal pride!
no subject
Clearly, Hannibal needed to invest in some conditioner and dreads, this guy was rocking the look.

"Tristan," he answered, eyeing the phone a bit curiously as he looked around it at her.

Surely someone here spoke Latin. Even people that hated the Romans spoke Latin.

"Say something!"
Something worth blackmailing you for later, whoever you are!

If she ended up on the internet off-campus she was going down the hill for sure. She'd never survive in maximum security. Never.

And yes, still filming.

Still recording, if not pointed directly at new chick, yup.

And why was she using a phone camera?

If she'd somehow made it not just out of Litchfield but all the way to France, she was completely screwed.
. . . Unless she went with it. Unless she actually ran away. What were the extradition treaties between the US and France?
