Raven had no idea how she'd ended up in this place. She'd been with the Titans, having successfully infiltrated them per the orders of her father, then she'd woken up in this place. Was this some trick from Trigon to test her loyalty? Or her brothers, attempting to sabotage Trigon's favorite child?

Her empathy was picking up confusion, amusement, some amount of fear, but no real threat. She decided to begin a careful exploration of this place to try to determine where she was. Her mask was down and her sword vanished, but she could easily recall it if she encountered danger.


[ooc: Raven is Raven from DC 52, because I hate myself. She looks the same as she usually does, but no chakra, and she's dressed in a skin-tight grey outfit covered with blue feathers. Black Bird of terror. Caw!]

"Is it Halloween?"

Chase was on his way to the park but he couldn't stop himself from gawking at the girl with the mask down.

"Sorry, I forgot my candy in my other pants."

"Who are you? What is this place?" Raven demanded, ignoring his question. He acted like he'd never seen a spandex-costumed superhero or villain before.

"I asked you first." No, he hadn't. "And you didn't even ask me nicely. Where are the manners in this place?"

Raven's hands twitched, fingers growing into talons. "Insolent human," she sneered. "Answer me!"

Chase waved a finger at her and shook his head.

"I wouldn't advise talking to me like that," he said mildly. "It won't end well for you. I'm being nice."

"As am I," Raven said. Feathers formed around her face, shielding her eyes. How could she see? It was anyone's guess, really.

"You are addressing the daughter of Trigon the Terrible, human. And you will answer my questions. What is this place?"

Chase...was actually going to laugh, yes.

"Wait, wait, wait, it's not Halloween at all," he said between his laughter. "It's Thanksgiving and you're just waiting to be plucked! Pluck the turkey!"

It was obvious that her words weren't have any effect and she wasn't really too taken with him either. Impasse!

Jono's portals had done that thing again. That one where they held him up a day and he was left dragging his ass across town with a grumpy cat in the deep pocket of his long brown coat, looking a little like he wanted to fall ov--

This was a new look for her. At least, from behind, where he was standing. It felt like her. Ish?

Just wait until she turned around.

Raven did spin around, trying to find the source of the voice in her head. Who ever it was knew her name.

She looked at Jono without any recognition in her eyes. "You. Was that you who spoke in my mind? You know me?"

//Of course it w-hoa.// Please excuse Jono. He needed to take a moment to blink and stare. //That's quite th'look for you, luv.//

And where the hell was her chakra? Oh, god, this wasn't another vampire thing again, was it?

"Who are you to address me in such a familiar manner?" Raven demanded, looking Jono over. She could sense power in him, but his emotions weren't hostile, just confused and worried.

//A... friend?// He gave her another once-over, and then tucked his hands into his pockets, giving Joni a scratch behind the ear while he was at it. //Unless you don't know me, I suppose. I might actually be thinking of a different Raven.//

One who believed in clothing!

//... You have any idea what you're doing here, by any chance?//

"I don't know what power has brought me here," Raven said, "but whomever is responsible will learn what it means to cross Trigon's daughter."

So that much was the same, at least.

Definitely worth photographing. And filming. This chick looked vaguely familiar, but like that meant anything.

"Why are you taking pictures of me?" Raven demanded, not smiling. She'd been on Earth long enough to know what Kenzi was doing.

"Because I loooove your costume, honey!" Kenzi said, playing up her L.A. Director persona for all it's worth. "Here I am getting background shots for my next indie film - this place is awesome - and you walk in, in that..."

"You mock me," Raven said, her eyes narrowing. The feathers of her mask flew into place. Just to make her look even more ridiculous.

Kenzi gave a squeak that was a squawk that was a squeal that was a snort.

Hey, you try to contain explosive laughter in the face of that. TRY.

"Noooooooo I love it! It's perfect for the alien princess of Doom! Where'd you get it? I need one for my lead!"

She could run really really fast, but that wasn't going to help her against someone who could teleport.

Raven glared at Kenzi, not that she could tell what with the FEATHERS COVERING HER FACE. She held up one hand and a sword appeared in it, black and crackling with blue energy.

"You dare laugh at the daughter of Trigon?" She was the Black Bird of Terror! TERROR THAT FLAPPED IN THE NIGHT.
