The beach- Wednesday morning
Sia still had a little time before her portal out, and with everything packed up from her room it was too boring to stay there. So instead she came out to the beach to wait, letting Vitor play around by the water so maybe he'd handle dealing with portals better later. And then she sent off a quick text to let people know where she was, and sat in the sand to watch.
It was probably too much to hope there'd be a beach anywhere in her near future after this...

To be specific, he was currently crammed into a hidden compartment on board a pirate ship. Normally, he wouldn't exactly be in the mood to respond, but 1) Sia never texted him, and 2) he was bored. Really bored. It'd be hours before they got where they were going.
Beach, huh? I hope the weather's nice.
Okay, so it wasn't the most exciting text ever.

It isn't terrible. Are you not around to look out your window?

Okay, he realized a second later he should probably elaborate on that a little.
So, did you know that when your government is terminally unstable, lots of pirates pop up on trade routes?
no subject
Yes, actually. Should you be texting right now?

Ah, teasing via text.

Not now, though. He'd shifted so at least the light of the phone was blocked.

Not everyone bounced back the way he did.
... Actually, only one other person came to mind who bounced back the way Atton did, and he'd had to be talked into laying down and dying.

Atton eyed his phone. Well... if he couldn't ask now without getting the animal foisted on him, when could he ask?
So what're you doing with the dog?
He'd kind of talked her into the dog back in the day, so he was curious.

His portal didn't leave until tomorrow. He wandered down to the beach with a slightly pained attempt at a smile on his face. "So."

...there was a reason Four wasn't in Amity. He didn't have a diplomatic bone in his body.

All things considered, that was great.
