Stark Industries, Saturday

So, there were two other Tony Starks in town for the weekend. The only person in the shop who wasn't surprised by that was JARVIS, it would seem. Seeing as how he was one program tweaked by all three of them over the years.

"Okay, how about we get some ground rules about touch each other's things?" Tony suggested.

The Tony his age responded with an eyeroll and a, "You know, I owned this place first."

The baby Tony with, "He's worried his suit won't live up to expectations."

And what followed was an aggressive engineering session.

Coulson walked in, curious to see who "Stark" referred to at this point. His face didn't budge, but it flashed pre-mature exasperation nonetheless. "I've had nightmares like this. Do any of you know me?"

"Agent Coulson," Tony replied. "Always a pleasure to see you alive and well."

Look, Stephanie would have gone to find Tony one way or the other, even if she hadn't promised Pepper that she'd give him a hard time this weekend. (Just a little bit of a hard time. She wasn't evil, geesh.) And it didn't take detective skills -- which were better these days, even! -- to realize this was a likely place to look for him.

"I should have known you'd be --"

Wait. Blink.

"Ohmygod."

"Stephanie!" Tony smiled, lighting up almost as much as he did around new technology. "Meet the other me's."

And join him in how weird it was.

"Did we break her?" Tony asked, peering over at the cute, little blonde. "Oh, I hope Tyler has that response too."

"Tony." She'd get around to hugging him eventually. Just . . . that took more mental capacity than she had to spare at the moment, because . . .

"There are three of you."

Now was one of those times to be glad she was in civilian gear, because if she'd been in her suit right now Babs would be making so many smartass comments in her ear. She didn't need that, since her internal narrative in yellow text on a purple background now, oooh was doing plenty of that as it was. (Excellent deductive skills there, Brown. Did you learn that at college?)

She wiggled the fingers of one hand in an awkward wave, smiling in that weird, rigid sort of if I twitch a single facial muscle I will lose all my composure way. "Nice to meet you?"

Ben walked into the store, blinked twice and then grinned. "Stang. Which one of you knows who I am?"

"Ben!" Oh, hopefully Ben was prepared for a tackle/hug. Because that's what he was going to get.

"Tony!" Ben said, hugging him back hard. "It's good to see you! Not that it's not good to see the...other yous...but I know this you!"

The things Fandom made him say.

Of course Topher wanted to see his old desk at Stark Industries. It was an awesome desk. He had not expected this, though.

He was whistling as he came in, but stopped abruptly. "Oh, there's Tonys here."

Yes, that was true!

"Multiple Tony's," he was assured with a grin by one of them.

"Cool," Topher decided. "I figured something weird would be going on. Are you guys bonding? Or is it like too much of the same personality for you to all hang out together?"

Someone had taken up an interest in psychology.

"Also, hey. Been awhile."

Sam peeked in, drawn by the smell and sounds of engineering in progress. "Hello?"

So, so much engineering. It was their thing. "Hello," said the one Tony who was not in a committed relationship or a zygote.

Sam glanced around, noticed the other men. "I'm sorry if I'm interrupting. I heard the...what is that?"

Interest captured, she wandered over to get a closer look at something.

The sound of voices and of activity had attracted River's attention. She slipped quietly through the door and stood watching the three men. Perhaps this was a waste of time, but she had other reasons for being in Fandom than nostalgia.

"My systems are not outdated," Tony snapped, slapping at the hands of... another Tony. This was a definite case of too many cooks in the kitchen.

Though it wasn't until JARVIS chimed in, "Sirs. There is a visitor." that they noticed River. Sorry about that, River.

Tilting her head, River looked at them. "Three on one and one in three," she said. "Might be contradictory in any other place."

There was technology here that could perhaps be useful, so she decided to be her social self.

The shop, the shop, the shop smelled awesome! It smelled like axle grease and mechanical parts and engines.

"Awww, man, you guys took the sign down," Rikku announced as she bounced into the store.

That was because the sign was horrifyingly ugly, Rikku. A lot.

"We had a different sign?" Tony asked, watching as the youngest Tony sort of hunched over like he wouldn't be noticed. But oh, he was noticed.

"When I ran this place, it did," Rikku chirped. "I called it Fixer-Uppers, and I fixed things people brought in? And the sign was in both English and Al Bhed."

The sign was an unholy abomination. Hopefully someone had burned it.

Tyler walked in fashionably late shut up and looked from one Tony to the other with raised eyebrows.

"Whoa. Clonefest 2015."

"But I'm the prettiest, right?" The other Tonys were just giving him suuuuch a look for that.

"I dunno," Tyler teased. "Jailbait here's got the young and skinny thing working for him."
