Stark Industries, Saturday

So, there were two other Tony Starks in town for the weekend. The only person in the shop who wasn't surprised by that was JARVIS, it would seem. Seeing as how he was one program tweaked by all three of them over the years.

"Okay, how about we get some ground rules about touch each other's things?" Tony suggested.

The Tony his age responded with an eyeroll and a, "You know, I owned this place first."

The baby Tony with, "He's worried his suit won't live up to expectations."

And what followed was an aggressive engineering session.

"Aren't they always?" A beat. "Though he could have been with SWORD, I guess. I wonder how long it took to get those two agency names to spell sword and shield."

"From time to time. He's officially dead right now," Coulson said. "And SHIELD's gone through some stuff. But he picked me to spearhead those changes. Or at least he would have, if he were alive."

"Yours and mine both, kid," Coulson said. "Now I have to find out what a Skrull is." Owned by Fox is what they were, so Coulson had nothing to worry about!

Hey, he still dealt with them. Just the Ultimate version of them. And it was safe to say Winter Soldier was a combination of Secret Invasion and Secret Avengers.

That got complicated when the Chitauri became a distinct race in 616, of course, retroactively making the Ultimate version an amalgam of two races. So technically, Coulson was still Skrull-free.

That is some nerdy-ass conversation in the narrative.

"The one who seems a little more on the ball than the others. Congratulations," Coulson said. "I hope the town is treating you well."
