Parents' Weekend Brunch, Sunday Morning to Afternoon, The Park

The sky was clear and the temperature was nice, and the park was once again filled with tables and, hopefully, parents. After all, there was so much brunch food waiting for them, it would be a shame to let it go to waste. There was also a table exclusively for mimosas. Thanks, Frank. Also on that table were cards reading "If You Know How To Banish the Astral Projection of an Elder Demon Clown, See Frank Doyle." It was probably a joke or something. Don't worry about it, just sit back, sip your mimosas, and do what the big glittery banner said.

After last night's adventures in the woods and a handwavy tour of the Rocky Bits this morning, not to mention all the free food, Mal was really reluctant to leave.

While April bustled around doing Student Council things, Mal sipped on her mimosa (her first ever!) and contemplated how difficult it would be to trick her mom into sending her to boarding school.

It wasn't until this morning that April realized that because her weekend with Mal had been so super-fun, she had forgotten her responsibilities as a student council representative to make sure everything looked awesome!

So pardon the tiny ginger who was bustling around from table to table, adjusting tablecloths and making sure all the glitter was spread evenly.

It was possible she was repressing having to say goodbye to Mal. Hush.

There's so much food over here, you guys. Plenty of it is brunch staples, but a lot of it isn't. And guess what: it's moddable, BY YOU.

There's also, as previously mentioned, mimosas. Alcohol for brunch! What will they think of next? Alcohol for breakfast? We can only hope.

Despite her lack of a guest, Ada had shown up to yet another event for the free food and people-watching. She reached for what she thought was a glass of orange juice and-- "Oh." Ada looked at her glass, a big grin spreading across her face. "This is delicious."

Uncle Chester would never approve of Ada drinking, let alone for breakfast. So of course she was going to do both today.

Kitty didn't have anyone here for her personally this weekend. When she went back to New York every week, you didn't really need someone to come visit. But she could try a mimosa and see if there was anyone she needed to bother.

It probably shouldn't be a surprise that Frank was parked next to the mimosas. And before long, he was parked by a growing number of empty glasses.

Bob knew who pretty much everyone was, on account of being a voyeur of life nosy as hell observant, so he was walking up to Frank, eyeing the empty glasses with a mixture of impressed disdain. "Astral projection of a demon clown?"

Frank knew who very few people were due to not particularly caring. He was not a people person.

"Elder demon clown," Frank said. "A normal demon clown wouldn't be so terrifying on a deeply personal level."

After the terrible disappointment of yesterday's art show spread, Dante was at least happy to spot real food around.

So he was chowing down a few burgers and grabbing a mimosa, because why not?

Kaylin was totally taking advantage of the free food. Not that she couldn't get food whenever she wanted, but the special occasions food was always especially good.

[ Statement, not a question. She would've bet on finding the younger girl already digging into the food if there'd been anyone around to bet against. Because where there was food (or trouble), that's where Kaylin always was. It was one of the few talents Kaylin actually had.

She couldn't believe someone had actually shown up here to see her. Unless...

What are you going to do, eat your food standing up like some kind of animal? There are tables and chairs RIGHT HERE. Use them! And they still work even if you're not eating.

I stubbed the little piggy that had no roast beef earlier. It's not like it hurts, I'm just weirded out that I managed to stub one of my middle toes.
