If Kitty looked annoyed, it was because every time someone came in, they tracked in crushed popcorn pieces with their shoes. She'd tried to clean it up a few times, and then someone would come or go and rather than just letting the place be a mess, she was being proactive.

Pinkie decided to stop in for a refreshment on her trot through town -- popcorn ball fights were thirsty work, even if your only opponents were flamingos and poor, harassed NPC shop clerks. She paused by the door, looked at the sign, then down at her feet, then over at Kitty.

". . . I don't have any shoes."

And if she did, they'd quite possibly be nailed to her feet.

"I'll forgive it," Kitty decided. "As long as you wipe your feet at the door."

She'd let her in anyway, let's be real. You don't turn ponies away.

"Sounds fair," Pinkie said, and pulled a handkerchief (hoofkerchief?) from -- somewhere -- and meticulously wiped down her hooves. "Doncha just love Fandom's weather?"

"At least it's not raining butter, too?" Kitty tried. "The popcorn was nice when I needed a snack but the cleanup is not fun."

"Ooo, buttered popcorn would be amazing!" Pinkie's priorities were not everypony's priorities. "I had fun making popcorn ponies and having popcorn ball fights."

"You wanna try? There's still time!" She looked around. "Outside, though. So's you don't have to clean it all up."

Pinkie had an advantage: she could just lap it all up with her tongue when they were done. She was pretty sure by now that humans couldn't do that, though.

Pinkie squealed in delight. "Tino, hold down the bar! -- oh, I guess that's your line."

"Oh no, you totally did it better than I could," Kitty said, phasing through the car. "It's your line when I'm on a break."

"Eeee!" Pinkie hovered in the air for a moment, her legs moving excitedly. "Last one outside is a rotten dragon eeeegggg!"

Kitty was one of only a few people who could ever challenge Pinkie in such a contest.
