Luke's, Thursday Afternoon
Hardison was still riding the high from yesterday's Space Battles class, so when he came downstairs to the diner today, it was with violin and sheet music in hand. There were a million medleys out there transposed for the violin and damn if he wasn't going to try to practice them all. If anyone complained, he'd say he was serenading the guests.
And if there weren't guests, he didn't have to worry about the complaints! Win/win for Hardison!

Talk to Hardison

Re: Talk to Hardison
"Hey Kitty, good to see you," he said, when the song reached its end and he set the bow aside. "Sup?"

"Weddin' stuff?" he asked. "I hear that can get overwhelmin'. Don't blame you for needin' a break."

Re: Talk to Hardison
Hardison had less than no idea how weddings worked. The last one he'd been to had been part of a con and that had been what? Seven years ago?

Hardison stop tempting Kitty, it wasn't nice.

He strolled in and stood and listened for a bit, pleasantly surprised.
Re: Talk to Hardison
He started playing Scheherazade.
Re: Talk to Hardison
When Hardison was done, Hannibal nodded to him. "That was lovely. I wasn't aware that you played."
Re: Talk to Hardison
"Played more when I was a kid," Hardison said, setting his violin aside. "Till I was about fourteen, then I discovered computers. Had to pick it back up again for a job a few years back, decided it might be useful to keep practicin'."

"Everybody should have at least one form of artistic outlet," Hannibal said, smiling. "Although apart from music files, I've never heard of computers singing."
Re: Talk to Hardison
"You get a computer to do what you want it to do an' that's all the singin' you need," Hardison said. "Some folks get computers to work for 'em with brute force. Ugly, cludgy tactics that are barely even effective. Me, I use skill an' finesse. I don't make the computer do what I want, I rewrite it so that it wants to do what I want. That Ada Lovelace an' Grace Hopper came down on a chariot an' gave the computer a purpose an' program to do exactly that. S'the difference between a club an' a scalpel, yo."
