Luke's, Thursday Afternoon

Hardison was still riding the high from yesterday's Space Battles class, so when he came downstairs to the diner today, it was with violin and sheet music in hand. There were a million medleys out there transposed for the violin and damn if he wasn't going to try to practice them all. If anyone complained, he'd say he was serenading the guests.

And if there weren't guests, he didn't have to worry about the complaints! Win/win for Hardison!

Kitty had needed to get out a little, so she'd basically started walking and followed the music. And when she got inside, she just stood to listen for a while, because you didn't interrupt something like that.

"Not much. Had to get away from the phone for a while and you kinda drew me in," she said, coming over finally. "That was pretty."

"Just a Coke's fine," she said, and nodded. "I'm trying this thing where I don't turn into a raging bridezilla, so whenever there are too many calls or questions I have to answer I turn off the phone, put it under my pillow, and go out. The dogs got like three walks already today."

"Fifteen days," she said, taking the Coke gratefully. "Now it's the last-minute fittings and finalizing things and making sure people get paid and calls from your mother saying a cousin you've never heard of wants to bring his kids and I've redone the seating more than once this week."
throughaphase: (good with this)

"That's sweet, but at this point I am seeing this thing through," Kitty grinned. "It might be stressy right now, but then in two weeks I get to be married and that's the important part."

The specials board caught Hannibal's eye, and then the violin. That wasn't something you often saw in a diner.

He strolled in and stood and listened for a bit, pleasantly surprised.

Hannibal smiled before settling in to listen properly. The diner didn't have the best acoustics, but it was close enough it wasn't difficult to hear the inflections of the music.

When Hardison was done, Hannibal nodded to him. "That was lovely. I wasn't aware that you played."

"Music is never a waste of time," Hannibal said. "Although I understand you're quite the virtuoso with computers as well."
sharp_as_knives: (oh? yes?)

More like the squirrels; sorry, Hardison.

"Everybody should have at least one form of artistic outlet," Hannibal said, smiling. "Although apart from music files, I've never heard of computers singing."
sharp_as_knives: (smirk)

Hannibal grinned. "So, are you a computer surgeon, or a computer psychiatrist, then?"
