It had really only been a matter of time before the new stereo system decided that it was going to develop a mind of its own. Jono hadn't been too surprised, then, to find that when he went to put in a Pearl Jam album, the thing had rebelled and decided to play only select songs, jumping over whatever song it pleased. Apparently it didn't like Nothing Man or Corduroy, and wanted to play the Better Man guitar and organ only mix about eight times.

Jono wasn't going to complain. Not about this. He didn't want to give this new stereo the impression that he cared when it messed with his musical selection. It would only encourage it to act up more.
