Kitty had had a great week on the other side of the world with Clint, which meant she'd missed any trauma of the weekend, and the trauma of her other week was... still there, but easier to deal with.

It also meant that she was in the wrong time zone and felt just slightly jet lagged, so if people could keep their orders simple today it would be appreciated.

When Clint came by, he was on his way back from the gym, so Kitty got to have some arm viewing as Clint plopped down on a stool. "I think I definitely need a beer."

Arm candy definitely woke her up a little. "That kind of day?" she asked, straightening up.

"Apparently while we were away, the staff decided to move all of the equipment around, because it helps the gym's Feng Shui or whatever," Clint said, caught somewhere between exasperated and amused. "I can't decide if they really believe that, or if they're just screwing with me."

"Have you fixed it yet?" Kitty asked, getting him his beer and sliding it over. "If not, I need to see this. Especially since I'm the only person who won't trip over anything."

"Oh, I'm not fixing it. They're going to fix it. Eventually. I hope." Don't mind Clint taking a long sip of beer. "I'm assuming everything in the bar was still in place when you got back?"

"Probably. I'm still a little out of it, the bar could be on the other side of the building and I might not notice," she joked. "Everything seems fine. And if it's not, that's tomorrow's problem."

"Jet lag is annoying, but totally worth it," Clint said, smiling at Kitty across the bar. "Especially since I got caught up on the radio from the weekend and I don't think we'd have wanted to be here."

"Uh oh. What happened?" she asked.

"It sounds like everyone had to deal with the thing where you wake up 20 years older, but you're still here hanging out with everyone," Clint said, laughing. "I prefer being young with you. Youngish."

"Being old with you isn't exactly bad to me." It should be noted that future Kitty was like, early 40s. "I don't mind it, I just wish I remembered more of it."

"I think you were kind of old and I was really old, but we were still awesome. You don't have a choice about getting old with me, by the way," Clint said. "The alternative just isn't an option."

"Right back at you," she smiled. "And you weren't that old."

"There were gray hairs going on. I was officially a town elder," Clint said. "I mean, I was still pretty badass, if I remember correctly, but I worry about things creaking when they shouldn't, you know?"

"Does this mean the day you find a gray hair you're going to start considering yourself a town elder?" Kitty asked, smiling. "So I know what I have to look forward to."
