Caritas, Friday, Oct. 7
Didi spent her shift cleaning out the storage locker, which meant a lot of taste-testing the dustiest and weirdest bottles to see if they were worth keeping.
Her conclusion was largely "no," with a side of "liquor companies are weird."

And made a face. "Not really my thing, I guess." He offered it back to her.

She could hope.
"Or," she added, fluffing her hair away from her neck, "you could just order whatever you normally order. Which is probably safer."

Apart from the drinking blood thing.

"I think we still have some True Blood," Didi told him, after just a second's pause. "Do you like it warmed up?"
no subject
"It's fine however it is," he said with a shrug. "Or tea is good, too. Or tea-flavored whatever, I suppose," he joked. There seemed to be everything-else flavored stuff.

A pause.
"I'm a boring drunk. Anyhow, here's your just-tea."
It was a type he liked, with lemon and sugar neatly on the side.

He checked the tea and smiled. "This is perfect; thanks." He curled his hands around the cup to enjoy the heat while it brewed. "So, what do you do when you're not tending bar or falling asleep too early?"

She moved to get the bottles she'd need and added, over her shoulder, "I was trying to figure out whether we should keep some of the weird stuff from the storage room. It's nice to take a break and mix a normal drink."
no subject
"See, now you know I'm going to have to ask what exactly qualifies as an abnormal drink."

no subject
And no, the milk vodka wasn't blue.

"... Huh." He grinned faintly. "Mostly what I'm taking away from this is that your idea of giant bugs is very different from mine."
no subject
"What, where you're from that one's nothing to worry about?"

As she spoke her hands were busy pouring pineapple juice, rum, and cream of coconut into a glass over ice. She stirred it and added a slice of coconut to the rim before pushing it toward Karan.
"How big's a lylek, anyhow?"
no subject
"In meters? Too damn big," he shared. "And they travel in swarms."
Yeah, Kanan used metric. Space metric, apparently.

He wasn't sure what he'd been expecting, and this wasn't really it, but it was still good.
Tonight was going to be a pina colada night, then. Good to know.

"Now I want one too," she groused. "How are you doing, anyhow? Fight any giant frogs this week?"
