Kitty was good and even opened the bar early today. For reasons. Election reasons.

There was coverage on in the back room, and Kitty was leaning through the bar at times to get a better view of the screen. She wasn't going to leave the bar, though, because she had a feeling people might need a bartender today.

At one point the zombies had started to play It's The End of The World As We Know It till Kitty shushed them.

For alcohol and venting.

"I'd ask for a beer, but I think it'd be better to start with something harder," Clint said as he sat down, peering at the screen. He was still dressed from a day at the gym, which meant no sleeves and a frustrated look from dealing with employees. You were welcome for the first part at least, Kitty.

Oooh, arms. Who cared if she got to see them all the time?

"Are we thinking more vodka or tequila? I should probably be running specials on both," she said.

"If I start doing tequila shots, are you going to take advantage of me if I get drunk?" Clint asked with a smirk.

"Only if you want me to," she winked. "And as long as I'm not having a crisis when it's called."

"If there's a crisis situation, I'm definitely getting drunk so you can focus on me instead," Clint said. "I asked Tony if he'd rig the election, but he only offered to reconfigure some votes if necessary."

"No rigging elections," Kitty said. "We've got enough problems. People win fair and square, and then we possibly rise up and start a revolution like on TV."

Or like Scott in a while.

"Ooh, I'm great at revolutions," Clint said. "...That's maybe not something to sound proud of."

"You married me. You can sound proud of being great at revolutions," Kitty grinned. "So what am I getting you? Is it a tequila shot night?"

"Yeah, let me get some tequila," Clint said. "And you'll get an extra tip if you put salt somewhere fun for me to get to."

"Is that part of my tip?" she teased, getting a glass.

"Maaaybe," Clint said slowly, leaning a little over the bar. "I could just start distracting you now."

"I am sliiiightly still at work," she pointed out, though she wasn't budging from her leaning position, either.

"Barton," Tony said, lifting a class of scotch in a salute.

Clint grinned at him as he took one of his tequila shots. "Stark. Good to see you outside your lab."

"I leave. Sometimes." He did not.

"Right, maybe when things escape to the outside," Clint said with a laugh. "What are you drinking? Do you need a refill?"

"Scotch and yes please," Tony replied gratefully. "I never pegged you as political. Well. Maybe just the one back home."

"I'd very much like an entire bottle of scotch," Tony said, ignoring the sound of the television from the back room.

"The good stuff or whatever does the job fastest?"

A little weird asking that of Tony when she knew her version of him, but.

"...let's start off with the good stuff and see how the night goes?" Tony ventured.

"Got it,"'she said, getting a bottle and glass and setting it in front of him. "Didn't want to sit this one out at home?"

Tony took a sip and sighed at the taste. "I would rather be home, but I am here instead. Hoping people have some semblance of sanity."

"That just means I have to ask what your definition of sanity is," Kitty pointed out.

"If you even think I'd consider corporate Hitler as a valid option, I'm hurt," Tony replied.

"Absolutely not," she assured him. "I mean more in the 'I can't believe you're even watching the coverage' or 'how are any of you sober' sense."

"Well. I have a high alcohol tolerance, so." Tony, c'mon. That was sad.

Okay now she did feel bad about giving him the whole bottle. Thanks, Tony.

"Then you might be the only okay person at the end of the night," she pointed out. "...If this ends tonight."

"If it doesn't... I'm telling JARVIS to start a coup." He would not.

"Let me know before you coup," Kitty said. "In case I need my uniform ready."

"I feel like I will need the X-Men on my side for the glorious uprising," Tony replied with a nod.

"We're pretty good for that. You know, as long as everyone's getting along." Which was usually about 50% of the time.

"I'll see if the Fantastic Four can help too." Guys, stop discussing taking over the government.

"I'm not sure how that'd go... I could talk to Ben. We're bros," Kitty said.

"Probably best if it's just him and Johnny. Sue's pregnant back home for me."

That's what happens when you give Reed sex pollen flowers to check on, Tony.

"Aww, congratulations to them," Kitty said. "What number is this for them?"

"...one. They have more?" Oh god, this was going to end in someone getting crushed with invisible force.

"....No," Kitty lied, because she didn't want to spoil it, but too late.

Which would be why he was giving her such a look.

"Next you'll be asking for the gender so you can get the appropriate shower gift." Deflection!

"It will be a tiny chemistry set either way." OF COURSE IT WOULD BE.

To get away from it slightly.

To put yourself right in the middle of it because that's where the TV is.
