Town Square in the Park, Saturday Afternoon
Most of the information they had found was circumstantial, at best: rumors about what might have happened, strange reports that could mean anything about what caused this. But from it had arisen one potential path, the destruction of whatever anchored this place here - though whether it was an anchor that held their island tied to this, or an anchor that held this island tied to its doom, Obi-Wan couldn't say.
Regardless, it was time. He made his way to town square after spending some time urging people to come there. Just to make sure, he raised his voice. "May I have your attention?" he called.
And waited. A bit.
"I'm sorry if I am being presumptuous. My name is Obi-Wan Kenobi. I am... newly here. I, and several of our people, have spent some time researching the current state of the island." Yes. That. "We have identified two creatures that may be involved in powering our current circumstances. Therefore, we find it credible that removing these creatures may at the very least improve our circumstances some."
He couldn't make any promises, here.
"If you are willing to volunteer to take on a flying man vulnerable to electricity, and an easily-distractable... thing... out in town, please do report to me." Beat. "And Principal Zoe? I would like to speak with you as well."
He stepped away from the rock he'd stood on, straightened his robe, and waited.
[[wait for the ocd up! ]]

Re: Listen
He hadn't gone back to the MCA, though. There was nothing in this Galaxy or any other that could get him to go back there. And listening to Master Kenobi speak made for a great distraction from that.
Re: Listen
And, because he was apparently an idiot, now he was walking over to listen to Obi-Wan talk about how to fix this.
Easily distracted? Sounded a bit like somebody he knew.
Re: Listen
So. The anchors of his world weren't the anchors of this one, then. Good to know.
He couldn't fly or shoot electricity, and frankly, Parker and Hardison might kill him (ha) if he volunteered to play distraction to anything else, after Kenzi. So while part of him was raring to -- was always raring to -- dive in and fight, this time it seemed like he was better off staying behind with his crew.
None of them were up for being separated very long, today.

It hadn't worked then. She doubted it would work now. But it was inevitable that they would try something.

Not because he was a hero-type, mind you.
Just because it was the weekend, and he was missing a great chance to hang around the room and watch shitty TV with Anders and drink booze and--
Okay, hell, he just wanted things to go back to normal. So he showed up to the meeting, quiet and thoughtful.
Re: Listen
She fingered the knives hidden at the small of her back, but didn't speak up or offer assistance. She was leagues better than she had been when Isabela had first started teaching her, but Ada wasn't stupid. As much as she wanted to do something productive and help, this wasn't the way for her to be of assistance.
Maybe she'd see if anyone was going back to the library. Anything to get out of here, and away from being this close to the water. There was something...itchy. About the ocean here. Something scratching at the back of mind. And Ada wanted as far away from it as possible.

Right. Other her wasn't one of these "anchors". That was nice to know. Maybe.
She hoped what they were talking about here would work. She'd had enough of living off her go-bag supplies again.
Re: Listen
Seriously, she hated when this stuff happened.

Strike Teams!
"Oh," Obi-Wan will add eventually, "We may need some of you for another mission afterwards."
Re: Strike Teams!
//Distracting, I can do,// he noted. //I'm sort of made for it, really.//
He could be very eye-grabbing when he wasn't wrapped from nose to navel.

Please let her fight, Obi-Wan, she had mental images she needed to not think about ever again.

All the better for Not Thinking About Itâ„¢ while actually doing some good, for once.
"Master Kenobi," he said, bowing his head and approaching him as the crowd began to disperse. "Good to see you here."
