The Streets of Fandom, Sunday Morning
There was sunlight! It was weird.
Allu-Nika spent some time peering up at it with their four green eyes, their mouths smiling, even as they puzzled through the reappearance of the shiny thing that they couldn't figure out how to get.
Maybe someone would give it to them. Maybe He-On-Fire could? He was big. Maybe he'd be able to reach it.
They giggled happily to themselves then, sensing someone nearby, they tumbled off the building in a freefall to land just above the ground.
They peered around, two heads looking in two different directions, but for they found the person and stopped and stared, all of them focused on him.
Was… was that… but He-On-Fire was their Papa now.
But this was Papa too. They knew him. They knew him.
They floated on over, picking up speed, and without really thinking about it, Allu-Nika attached themselves to the person's leg. Papa! Their giggling filled the air.
Maybe he could get the sun down for them?
[For one, please! And probs SP.]

But there was no rest until all of this was brought to a close. Not really. There was worry. There was keeping a psionic eye out for anything even more horribly out of the ordinary than what he was already aware of. There was the tiny doll attaching herself to his leg.
... wait.
Jonothon blinked down at the doll in quiet confusion, which gave way into a look of silent anguish as the vast well of Nanika's power made itself visible in his mind's eye, deep and unfathomable.
//Ah. Good morning, Sunshine. I'd wondered what had become of you.//

His voice sounded different but the same.
They chirped a greeting, one of their hands flailing a hello at him.

//And how are you faring?// He crouched down a little, to be a little bit closer to their level. Exhaustion after exerting himself against Cecil settled in, though, and his legs wound up buckling under him. His rear hit the ground solidly, though at least he was careful to not jostle her on his way down. //Oof. Suppose that's one way to come down here for a better conversation...//

They were kind of wobbly, just from being a doll, but that didn't stop them.
His words didn't make full sense to them, but they got the first question. They pointed at their ribbon, and at the lace wound through their hair. They were pretty! Wasn't that great?

//Oh, you do look lovely,// he said, leaning in slightly to inspect the ribbons and lace in question. Totally not to inspect Allu-Nika so that his heart could bleed out some more. Really. //Are you getting ready for a party? Is this a special occasion?//
