The park, Sunday morning
The currents of the Force were no less strange today, but Master Kiwiiks had patience, and she was determined to learn them and to learn what was going on.
So today, she had taken the lightsaber she found and gone out to the green space here to meditate and do katas. The feline and other animal had come with her, and were running about. Well, the brightly colored one was running about; the feline was curled up in a grumpy sort of nap.
[Open park!]

But the sight of the lady in the park with the glowing sword going through some katas definitely caught his attention as he passed, inspiring him to end his current strain of bee-bops and doo-wops with an impressed whistle.
"Sweet moves, there, babe," he drawled with a point of his finger. "I like the slice of your sword."

"Thank you," she answered a touch dryly, "I think. Master Bela Kiwiiks. And you are?"
no subject
"Me?" he asked, acting flattered that she asked, hand to chest as if a heart actually fluttered within all those gears and wires. "~Bee-dah-ba-dee-dah-day~," and he threw his arms out dramatically, the wind catching his scarf oh-so-nicely, "Scaramouu-ooo-oouuuche the Merciless!"
And then there was spinning, arms out, twirling as he continued with his impressive list of titles, "the Pied Pier of Ruination, the Crooner of Carnage, the Ambassador of Annihilation, the Eradicator of All, baby! Also know as Aku's most favorite assassin, babe."
He finished with a nice shining grin and a sweeping bow.

"Are you from this place?" she asked.

"And I am committed to serving the Light. If you intend to extinguish it, I suggest you leave. Now."
She wasn't going to kill him outright unless he tried something, but she was going to defend herself and any people here.

Maybe he'd see what life was like and turn toward the light himself. She could always hope.

She wasn't going to demonstrate unless she had to.

Loth-cats did not enjoy having their bellies snuffled, thank you very much, dog.
Stance had just come by for another good sniff at the cranky feline, and Kanan had reached up his weird little duck-feet to wrap around the dog's muzzle in warning, though he wasn't resorting to claws just yet. Which mostly meant that the dog thought he was playing, which meant more snuffling, which meant an even more cranky loth-cat...
It was a dangerous cycle, really.

But, you know. Loth-cat. So not only was he not acting particularly thankful, he was also giving a little growl after the dog as it eased back again.
Also, he was a naked dude laying on his back on the grass. That too.
"--Hera was right, I really need to teach you to keep your nose out of other animals' business."
...
"Waitaminute."

Covering himself up with two hands and a lightsaber hilt probably didn't exactly have the intended effect, but that lightsaber was his. Whoever this lady was, didn't she know that using another person's weapon without permission was rude?
"... I'm out."
Sorry, Master Kiwiiks. It was probably rude to turn into a naked guy and run, but that was absolutely what Kanan was doing, here.

"Now wait a minute."
no subject
"What? Were you hoping for a better look, lady?"
Tiny bit naked, here. Just a smidgen.

"And that explanation couldn't wait until I had pants on?"
The proper thing to say here was 'thank you,' Kanan.

The...bright thing...pranced up, barking at him, and she said, "And what that is, and if he has a name."
Okay, that part wasn't necessarily important, but she was tired of not knowing.
