Abandoned warehouse district, Tuesday evening
So their house was trashed. Even disregarding the structural and water damage, there was blood, shark- and Eliot-, everywhere, and not a small amount of guts (at least one shark had apparently exploded on impact with the place, Eliot's garden was completely toast) that still needed cleaning up. All told, the Leverage team was considering whether they wanted to fix the place back up, or cut their losses and just buy another place somewhere on the island (and then fix the old one up, they weren't assholes, but they could take their time with it and not have to live out of a hotel room that way).
More important than all that, though: it was Hardison's 30th birthday. And there was no way that Eliot and Parker would let that just go by without some sort of acknowledgment. Say, in the form of an empty-warehouse-party. Full of all the amenities an empty-warehouse-party needed, like loud music, flashing lights, glow paint -- it was possible that Eliot and Parker had just kind of thrown their hands up on what a modern party should look like and thrown a 90s rave, yes -- and plenty of food, including a good chunk of the stock from Luke's that hadn't been ruined when that had gotten sharked. Most of theNPC staff was in attendance already, both in honor of Hardison and because it beat the hell out of helping out with the clean up efforts back at the diner, and the front doors were thrown open wide with signs all up and down the street to let anyone who wanted to wander in know they were welcome as well.
And if no one did wander in? Well. It was already a decent party, anyway. For one thing, there was a minimal amount of leftover shark on the menu. . . .

"Thanks," he said, after he'd been thoroughly kissed. "Still feel like a cradle-robber now that I got a three in front of my age?"

... Or at all, really. But he knew Eliot, and he knew that having one's home obliterated wasn't a great opener to a birthday week, and he did happen to know one thing that he could provide that would make for a marginally less poodoo birthday.
"Hey," he said, giving a wry little smile and a nod. "So, you're the birthday guy, huh?"

"Ooo." Raven accepted the cupcake with a smile that almost matched Parker's. "Thanks. I think this might actually be the first birthday party I've been to in more than a year."

"I know I'm not riding the high from a bad dose of glitterstim right now."
Re: Mingle
What? Eliot had come of age in the mid-90s. And then pretty much immediately left society behind to become a criminal. His perspective was a little skewed.

pinging in really super late, so the player totes understands if said ping goes unanswered, but is also up for SP, as it happened, wandering by. Curiosity piqued, he decided to check out what all the signs were pointing to. A party seemed like a good way to meet more people in Fandom, at any rate, so he headed on in.Re: Mingle
