Groovy Tunes-ish, Thursday
Octavia didn't have a phone or email or anything else a person living in this time really ought to have had by now. So she was so far unaware of Jono's new plan for the store. But she did turn up at the theater instead of the pile of former-building that was the actual Groovy Tunes at the moment.
Somehow she found looking at what little stock they had left more despressing than the ruins of the store, though.
[ooc: Ooopen. Though I am very tired.]

So he was coming in to the Boards building... the new Groovy Tunes building, really, looking only marginally frazzled as he nodded a hello to Octavia.
//Afternoon. I see you found th'place fine?//

But Octavia had quickly grown used to it just enough not to outwardly react to it, anymore. She nodded her greetings. "I saw the note at the store, it wasn't that hard."

//You'd be surprised how many people have problems with simple instructions,// he noted. //Looks like the contractors I hired to be rebuilding the old place will be making full use of it for the next little while, so I figure we'll he here a while.//
He paused, and then clarified, //I think this move might be permanent, actually. Not much point in moving whatever made it back to the old place when this seems to be working well enough for what I need.//

"But how are all the records supposed to fit in here?"
no subject
//I... don't think all of them are,// he said, at length. //I don't even think most of them are. There'll be some room for them over...// He glanced around the lobby, then pointed at the wall near the door, //there, perhaps. And there's room further back for storage. But I think I'm going to be making a bit of a shift from recorded music to musical instruments and live performances, from here on out.//

So she just said a little flatly, "Right."
And then after some consideration, "Guess that's understandable." It wasn't, to her.

Well. that got a faint eyebrow raise out of Jono all the same. He tilted his head a bit, and then hedged, //I will still be ordering in recorded music, of course. Just not nearly as much of it. And I'll be getting things in by request, if people know what they want.//

It was easiest to just move on.

Jono considered the space for a minute, and then jerked a thumb toward the back, toward the stage.
//Th'lobby's fine,// he noted. //I've moved everything out of the way that needs to be moved. But I'll have to make space in the back for new stock eventually. The costume storage will probably do fine for that. Can't imagine much need for people to dress up as astronauts or dinosaurs anymore.//
... Odds were he'd end up regretting that someday, knowing this place.

Now here was another thing Octavia hadn't really been exposed to all that much, before.
no subject
//Surprisingly... yes,// Jono replied, shrugging his shoulders. //This place used to be a theatre... not just for music, but also for plays. Acted-out storytelling. Complete with costumes.//
no subject
(Sorry, Fandom.)
"Right," Octavia replied, a little flatly. Not that there'd been a whole lot of emotion in her voice to begin with. "Stories with dinosaurs?"
no subject
//Well...// Jono spread his hands a little. //I never said they weren't stupid stories. Anyway, there's a reason I'm switching it over to music now, instead.//
Though now he was half tempted to audition for a stage performance of Jurassic Park, starring students in horrid costumes as the dinosaurs.
