Outside Caritas- Thursday afternoon

Kitty had intended to go to her office, pick up some work, and bring it home to do. And then right before she got into the bar, she got ambushed with snowballs.

Now, as someone who had a decent relationship with gremlins (she hoped), obviously this meant war.

There was now a snow bunker outside the bar, which Kitty was hiding behind as she frantically made more snowballs in order to lobby back at them.


[Open! Snowball fights are the only reason snow doesn’t entirely suck.]

"Leave me alone, you creepy twerps!" Paris screamed as she dove gracelessly behind the bunker.

Kitty watched her dive, and held out a snowball for her. “If you can’t beat ‘em...”

"Good point," Paris said, shouting "EAT SNOW!" and throwing it as hard as she could.

She...wouldn't be getting an athletic scholarship any time soon, but her enthusiasm was hard to match.

“Attagirl!” Kitty said encouragingly. “It’s both helpful and terrifying that they’re having fun with this.”

"It really is," Paris admitted. "It's like they've organized while we were gone over Spring Break."

“It does get quiet here then. They probably get bored,” Kitty agreed, lobbing another snowball at them. “Got him!”

Of course there was another one headed her way, but it was helpful when said snowball could just phase through your head.

"How did that snowball just go through you?" Paris demanded.

“Superpowers,” Kitty shrugged. “I’m blatantly cheating. Don’t tell the gremlins.”

"I won't," Paris promised. "They cheat first."

“Exactly,” Kitty said, ducking behind the wall again to pack a few more snowballs. “I’ve git a reserve, but there are more of them.”

"And they're so annoying," Paris complained.

“They are. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with this,” Kitty said, finishing another snowball.

"My therapist has said I need to find an outlet," Paris said, pelting a gremlin with a snowball. "I've been doing scrapbooking, but this seems better."

This didn’t surprise Kitty at all.

“It doesn’t hurt- usually- and no one gets upset. Usually. It’s good for that,” Kitty said. “Try some more.”

"Thanks, I will," Paris said, throwing another snowball with a super healthy, "EAT ICE AND DIE!"

“Okay, I mean, we don’t really want them to die...” Kitty said.

"Oh," Paris said. "Yeah, that's true. Is concussed a bit okay?"

“Yeah, I think that’s fine,” Kitty decided.

Paris grinned. "Good. HOPE YOUR HEALTHCARE PLAN COVERS BLUNT TRAUMA!" she yelled this time.

“Ooh, I like that one,” Kitty said, and popped back up to throw another snowball.

She also took one in the shoulder, but whatever, she was still winning.
