The Perk, Monday Afternoon

Booored. Bored bored bored.

Bored.

Vette was, possibly surprisingly, bored. Out of her skull. She'd gone to her class today, sat through the weird flat holo, been given some food for thought, considered wandering back to her room. Hadn't. And now she was bored. So she'd gone for a walk. Sure, the weather was... not good today. She had twin rivers of water running down her lekku by the time she'd ducked herself away into a nearby shop, and not five minutes later she was sitting down by the window with a hot drink in her hands, watching the rain come down. The weather was still better than Ryloth, she would even grudgingly admit that the town was leaps and bounds better than Nar Shaddaa, and she was slowly warming up to the rain all the same.

All that considered, she still sighed as she settled in to people-watch. The drink name was totally misleading. Pumpkin spice wasn't spicy at all.

[OOC: Open post, soggy Vette!]

With all the wet outside, Lana was feeling...well, a bit like she was home. And desperately in need of something hot to drink.

So, here she was. Ducking in the door, nodding to Vette, and heading to get a coffee.

Lana got her coffee and added a little milk, then came to sit at the table next to Vette's. "Were you as confused by that holo - or not-holo - as I was?"

"Why would anybody insist half their population be uneducated?" Lana asked. "That makes no sense at all. And how does that girl expect forgiveness to work as a form of revenge? If everyone just worked together and killed those Taliban idiots, it would solve the whole problem."

Lana had a lot to learn about Earth politics, apparently.
unusual_sith: (ya think?)

"They can believe whatever they like," Lana said. "You can still kill them when they try something. And teach the others why they're wrong."

She looked at Vette. "I'm smart enough to know I probably have very different views from a twi'lek about slavery. Perhaps we should leave it at 'the Taliban are idiots'?"

"So," Lana said, "it's raining pretty hard today, isn't it?"

When in doubt, go with the weather.

"Do you prefer the rain or the sun?" Lana asked.
unusual_sith: (yeahhhh)

Lana snorted. "You can't possibly prefer the smog. Nobody prefers the smog but hutts."
unusual_sith: (wry)

"We should all be so lucky," Lana said.

Hey, hutts they could agree on.
