Somewhere in the Woods, Thursday

The stone's glow was beginning to grow. It was visible from greater distance now, at least if you were meant to find it: it soaked up dreams and memories, wove them into a spell that grew with every iteration.

If you dream them, they will come.

So it whispered to the dreamers. Over and over again.

[[ nfb, but feel free to come touch the stone if you haven't yet... ]]

Sia got to town, and immediately went about her business like usual, and once that business was done, she needed to get out. The dreams had left her feeling unsettled since they'd started, and she wasn't sure why she was here except that she felt she should be. There was no sense to staying in when she didn't need to and dwelling on that.

There wasn't any reason for her to go to the woods, and especially not to one very specific spot in the woods. She didn't even question why she was doing it, or why she thought it was a good idea to touch a strange, glowing rock.

And once she did, she felt... better. Still unsettled, but whatever was coming wasn't a bad thing.

They was something, right?

Once he was finished with his shift at the shelter, Sidon realized that, without the distraction of cute animals and their care, the call and the pull of that strange voice was stronger than ever. He knew he'd been fighting it, in his own way, mostly out of dismissal. It wasn't anything too unusual to feel as he'd felt these past few days, but it was usual for it to be so strong and persistent and wholly distracting. It didn't help, either, that it made little sense to him. Why would dreams of his sister lead him into the woods, of all places, and it became even more bewildering when it lead him more specifically to a stone.

Waves and water, sand and surf, that he could comprehend. But they were hardly beings of soil and wood and rock. And when he crouched down to touch the rock and turn it over and consider it, its strange glow (harmless, thankfully! He realized a bit too late how foolish he had been to just reach out for something he knew nothing about!), the strange tingling in his arm as an effect, but its meaning, its purpose was no less understandable than before. He sighed, slightly, lingering a moment longer before standing up and heading back to the dorms, hoping he'd be able to shake the deep frown of confusion on his face before them. Not worried, of course, but just....so very confused.
